DAMASCUS, Feb 13 (Reuters) - The Syrian government said on Tuesday that Israel would face "more surprises" in future attacks on Syria's territory, after Syrian air defences shot down an Israeli F-16 jet. Syrian anti-aircraft fire downed the F-16 as it returned from a bombing raid on Iran-backed positions in Syria early on Saturday. Both Iran and Russia are supporting President Bashar al-Assad in Syria's near seven-year civil war. "Have full confidence the aggressor will be greatly surprised because it thought this war - this war of attrition Syria has been exposed to for years - had made it incapable of confronting attacks," assistant foreign minister Ayman Sussan said. "God willing they will see more surprises whenever they try to attack Syria," Sussan said during a Damascus news conference. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that Israeli forces would press ahead with Syria operations despite their loss of the advanced warplane, the first it has lost to enemy fire in 36 years. In Kiryat Shmona on Tuesday, Israeli Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman told reporters: "There are no limitations (on military operations), and nor do we accept any limitations ... We will respond to every provocation." "We will continue to defend our vital security and other interests. And I would like to paraphrase the well-known saying: 'This is not the time to bark, this is the time to bite.'" Iran's involvement in Syria, including the deployment of Iran-backed forces near the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, has alarmed Israel, which has said it would counter any threat and has mounted regular attacks into Syria. Israel also has accused Iran of planning to build precision-guided missile factories in Lebanon, which is home to the powerful Hezbollah movement, one of the groups fighting in support of Assad in Syria. In the email, Rice wrote “President Obama began the conversation by stressing his continued commitment to ensuring that every aspect of this issue is handled by the Intelligence and law enforcement communities ‘by the book.’ The president stressed that he is not asking about, initiating or instructing anything from a law enforcement perspective. He reiterated that our law enforcement team needs to proceed as it normally would by the book.” The email first surfaced yesterday when Sens. Gets More Latitude to Share Intercepted Communications,” and the article explained how Obama just authorized the NSA to share their treasure trove of raw data from intercepted conversations with the FBI, the DEA, and the Department of Homeland Security. Why the heck would he do that with only days left in his presidency, if not to “legalize” what his administration had already been doing the entire time?

After all, it was one Barack Obama who envisioned a “fundamental transformation” of these United States. As well, it was his wife, Michelle Obama, who said that for the first time in her life that she was proud of America, centered on the progressive socialist “hope” that her husband was promising. For the liberal progressive leftist elites anything that’s the antithesis of America is embraced, made relevant, and even acceptable. After all, it was Barack Obama who had a policy of “strategic patience” with the brutal Stalinist regime of North Korea that starves its people, imprisons and brutally tortures them, executes Christians, and is seeking ICBM and nuclear capability. As for the last capability, it was Obama’s former National Security Adviser, Susan Rice, who wrote an op-ed for The New York Times, stating that we can just learn to live with a nuclear North Korea — how charming, but predictable. The progressive left in America has always made it a habit to root for those aligned with their ideological agenda, rather than our country. The left found much to accept about the North Vietnamese, while they demonized our own troops. Who can ever forget the pictures of one Hollywood elitist, “Hanoi” Jane Fonda, sitting atop NVA anti-aircraft guns? And we know the progressive socialist left has this absurd love affair with the brutal communist regime in Cuba. The little baby leftists in training still adore their Che Guevara t-shirts over those of Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Lincoln or Reagan. And who will ever forget Obama’s visit to Cuba and his picture being taken before a mural of Che, the murderous Che?
It was the progressive socialist left who hailed Hugo Chavez and his socialist regime in Venezuela, wishing they could have the same in America. Many Hollywood and entertainment elites flew there to worship at the feet of the socialist dictator. Funny, you hear nothing from those same chuckleheads now that Nicolas Maduro is imprisoning citizens, legislators, while state police are gunning down unarmed protesters, and folks there in what was once one of the richest countries in Latin America are now eating from garbage dumpsters. No, we should not be surprised that CNN and the left is adoring the sister of a mad dictator who’s killing his own people … they have a history of doing such things. The left in America cherishes socialism over liberty and will assert situational relativism at will. The left sees more danger in Israel than the Islamic jihadists and terrorists that surround that small nation. The left finds sympathy will the so called “Palestinians” who are just Arabs with a desire to see Israel destroyed — and say as much. The left will fall all over and bestow darling status on a civilizational jihadist such as Linda Sarsour, who once called for a jihad against our White House. Yet, the left will demonize and denigrate women who’ve been victims of Islamic misogyny and terrorism such as Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Brigitte Gabriel. The progressive socialist left, much as their adoration of Lil’ Kim Yo, put the adoring picture of the Boston Marathon Islamic jihadist, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, on the cover of Rolling Stone. Don’t be surprised if Kim Yo soon shows up on the cover of Vogue. Then-FBI Director James Comey held a super-secret meeting with President Obama only two weeks before President Trump’s inauguration to discuss alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election, and Comey appears to have intentionally misled Congress about the Oval Office talks. Comey has never informed Congress of the Jan. 5, 2016, meeting that included the FBI director, President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, National Security Adviser Susan Rice and Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates. The meeting was revealed in an email sent by Rice to herself on Inauguration Day. It was timed just 15 minutes after President Trump took office. Rice’s email has been partially declassified by Republican Sens. Chuck Grassley and Lindsey Graham. Comey testified under oath before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence on June 8, 2017, and he may have intentionally failed to disclose the encounter with Obama just before Trump took office. “President Obama had a brief follow-on conversation with FBI Director Comey and Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates in the Oval Office,” Rice wrote in her email, which was dated the day before Trump’s inauguration. Comey has claimed he only met with Obama two times, once in 2015 and another time “to say goodbye in late 2016,” according to his June 8 statement to Congress. “I spoke alone with President Obama twice in person (and never on the phone) – once in 2015 to discuss law enforcement policy issues and a second time, briefly, for him to say goodbye in late 2016,” Comey said in his opening statement to the Senate intel committee. Obama, Comey and the top national security officials talked about sharing information related to Russia with the incoming Trump administration. “A person familiar with the January 5, 2017, meeting said the Obama administration wanted to know whether the FBI and others in the intelligence community believed there was a national security reason to limit conversations with the Trump transition about Russia because some of the incoming president’s team could be compromised,” CNN reported Monday. “From a national security perspective, however, President Obama said he wants to be sure that, as we engage with the incoming team, we are mindful to ascertain if there is any reason that we cannot share information fully as it relates to Russia,” Rice wrote. “The President asked Comey to inform him if anything changes in the next few weeks that should affect how we share classified information with the incoming team. Comey said he would.” Sens. Grassley and Graham posted statements to their websites saying they “were struck by the context and timing of this email, and [they] sent a follow up letter to Ambassador Rice.” “It strikes us as odd that, among your activities in the final moments on the final day of the Obama administration, you would feel the need to send yourself such an unusual email purporting to document a conversation involving President Obama and his interactions with the FBI regarding the Trump/Russia investigation,” the senators said to Rice.
“In addition, despite your claim that President Obama repeatedly told Mr. Comey to proceed ‘by the book,’ substantial questions have arisen about whether officials at the FBI, as well as at the Justice Department and the State Department, actually did proceed ‘by the book,'” they said.
Sen. Graham called Rice’s Inauguration Day email to herself “odd and disturbing.” During his appearance on “The Story With Martha MacCallum,” Graham said, “[W]e know the investigation regarding the Trump campaign was anything but by the book.” The senator suggested Rice’s email was really an effort by Obama to “get himself on the record through Susan Rice” about his concern that the Russia investigation be “by the book.” “It’s the oddest thing in the world to send an email to yourself on Inauguration Day about a conversation held on January 5th. … Why should he have to say that to begin with?” Graham asked as he wondered what the group had been discussing prior to the Jan. 5 meeting. Graham said he wonders what Obama and Rice knew about the FISA warrant used to spy on Trump campaign officials and how it was granted based on a “political” dossier funded by hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee. “When you look at what happened, it was an abuse of power, not ‘by the book,'” Graham said. “Did anyone instruct, request, suggest, or imply that you should send yourself the aforementioned Inauguration Day email memorializing President Obama’s meeting with Mr. Comey about the Trump/Russia investigation?” Grassley and Graham asked Rice in their letter. The Senate Committee on the Judiciary is scheduled to hear testimony from Rice on Feb. 22. Obama has maintained that he never interfered in the Russia probe, but some of the former president’s high-profile critics point to developments that suggest otherwise. As WND reported, talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh contends that the apparent corruption of high-ranking officials in the FBI, the Justice Department and other intelligence agencies to help Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election was all about protecting Obama. “All of this is,” Limbaugh said during his Feb. 7 show. “It was Obama that was policing, directing, informing, permitting the spying and whatever else happened to Donald Trump and his campaign.” Limbaugh noted the revelation that a September 2016 text to FBI agent Peter Strzok from his co-worker and paramour, Lisa Page, said Obama “wants to know everything we’re doing” related to the Russia investigation.

Ted Cruz (R-TX) threw his hat into the ring as a candidate for the Republican nomination in the 2016 presidential election, this writer criticized Cruz for ignoring the "natural born citizen" requirement contained in the Constitution for an individual to be president. Naturally, this writer received great criticism from Cruz supporters, which was not surprising. However, when it comes to issues before the Senate involving the Constitution, Sen. Cruz has, what many would call, a good voting record that adheres to the Constitution. According to Conservative Review, Sen. Cruz earns a 90% liberty score. On a school grading system, Sen. Cruz earns an "A." With Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell initiating the "failure theater strategy," Sen. Ted Cruz cast the lone vote against bringing a debate to the Senate floor on immigration reform. The article, Sneaky Snake McConnell Using Failure Theater To Undermine Trump Immigration Platform, outlined how the "failure theater strategy" could be used by McConnell as well as explained that strategy. The 97-1 Senate vote will move the immigration reform debate to the Senate floor beginning the "failure theater strategy" scenario that will undermine Trump's campaign immigration platform. To clarify upon yesterday's article, Trump's campaign platform did not include amnesty or a pathway to citizenship for illegal alien invaders – DACA and DREAMERs – which Americans supported. Now, Trump has waffled to speak about DACA affectionately while contemplating amnesty and a pathway to citizenship in exchange for border wall funding, disappointing many Americans who voted for Trump based on his campaign immigration platform. The White House has not indicated what prompted Trump's turn around. On this issue, Trump should stand firm on his campaign platform regarding illegal alien invasion and changes to the immigration law that place Americans first, minus the E-verify system. In order to for the bill to move forward in the Senate, at least nine Democrat senators would have to join with all 51 Republicans to create a 60-vote majority. Senator Cruz has already indicated his no-vote and it is likely that other Republicans might not support the measure. There is no indication if Democrat senators will accept the border security funding and changes in immigration policy to obtain the long-sought amnesty for the so-called “Dreamers.”

Ted Cruz was the lone republican to take a stand against pushing this "immigration reform" to the Senate floor for debate where McConnell could initiate the "failure theater strategy" by initiating the rule (his rule) the Senate start with an empty bill then insert whatever measures and proposals produces a 60-vote majority. Giving credit where credit is due, Sen. Cruz recognized the tactic made famous by House Majority Leader John Boehner being used by McConnell and ilk to once again shaft the American voters. But, the question remains, "why not enforce the immigration laws in place now and rescind "chain illegal alien invasion," the visa lottery, the anchor baby provision, and foreign work visas?" That is only a four-line bill.
Any proposal that awards criminals for violation of the law is a slap in the face to law-abiding American citizens, immigrants waiting to enter the united States, those who immigrated legally waiting to qualify for citizenship, and previous legal immigrants who jumped through numerous governmental hoops obtaining citizenship. The American people would do well to remember the outcry of Republican candidates for votes in the past two elections to "stop Obama's policies," which included DACA, amnesty and DREAMER citizenship, then sold out the people by caving to Hussein Soetoro and Democrats. Likewise, the American people would do well to remind President Trump of his campaign immigration platform. The first sentence of his platform stated, "When politicians talk about 'immigration reform' they mean: amnesty, cheap labor and open borders." His identified three core principles mention nothing about exceptions for DACA, DREAMERs or others who have violated immigration law and are productive. With regard to his comment on Cruz's citizenship, the boat has left the dock on that issue, which has been discussed repeatedly, including the possibility Cruz may not possess US citizenship, much less be a natural born citizen – place of birth is no determinate of being a natural born citizen; it is the citizenship of the parents, particularly the father, that determine natural born citizenship through "coveture," in effect at the time of the writing of the Constitution. Don't get bogged down in the argument "for or against" whether Cruz is a citizen or natural born citizen since that boat has sailed. References are being given only to provide the resources backing up the claim this writer made. The point here is the statement by Asmodeous Rex highlighted for emphasis. This is the anti-constitutionalist mindset. The Western Hemisphere consists of two actual continents – North America and South America. However, in those continents exist numerous nations, countries and republics that have immigration laws to determine who can immigrate and who cannot. While "an America" may be their continent, the republic of the united States is NOT theirs and our republic does NOT HAVE to come to "some kind of arrangement" for these people. Cruz, through his lone vote against sending immigration reform to the Senate floor for debate to stave off the failure theater strategy, is upholding the constitutionally authorized legislation on immigration, meaning no special arrangements for illegal alien invaders regardless of what nomenclature these individuals adopt. Remember, any time any politician utters "reform" on any issue up for legislation, one can guarantee the citizens of the united States lose. If one looks forward a bit, one can see the parallel to the last "amnesty" deal made during the Reagan administration where shill charlatan politicians claimed this issue would not ever be revisited.
Here we are 30 years later revisiting the issue. This same issue could be revisited in another 30 years if the law continues to be skirted. Just like during the Reagan administration, it will kick the can down the road. Another individual commenting on the Breitbart article identified the exact problem this republic could face should McConnell and his ilk succeed. "Sven" wrote, "Diversity, multiculturalism, political correctness, and illegal immigration is the death of American heritage. The biggest lie ever sold to its citizens. All of these people will transfer your wealth when they out number you. This you can count on!" [emphasis mine] It has been postulated it takes roughly two generations before those who entered illegally, received a pass, have family members who adopt a conservative or constitutional mindset. Until then, these individuals have voted for Democrat "freebies" and giveaways using other people's money. Should McConnell and his ilk succeed with the empty bill and inserting proposals to get a 60-vote majority, this republic could see an exponential increase in border crossings that would include gang members, terrorists and individuals seeking to "change" our government. As a reminder, many elected officials in both chambers of Congress already believe their job is to "represent" illegal alien invaders instead of the citizens who elected them. So, why have not more Senators stood with Sen. Cruz? Why was Cruz the lone vote to stave off the "failure theater strategy?" The answer was provided in a previous article – it is a government "for the corporation, by the corporation, and of the corporation" where both sides of the aisle gain from rewarding violators of the law instead of holding them accountable. Moreover, there are too few individuals in both chambers of Congress who actually take their oath seriously to uphold, support and defend the Constitution for the united States of America. This issue becomes a "win-win" for politicians. Republicans and Democrats both satisfy their corporate constituency; Democrats bury Republican support to shift power to their party, moving closer to "one party" rule; Republicans are a cheek on the same butt as Democrats; and, both sides of the aisle see a chance to impeach Trump should dissatisfaction grow, placing a Democrat majority in the House and Senate in 2018. The losers are the American people, not the politicians. What DACA and DREAMER individuals don't understand is they will be on the losing end if amnesty and a pathway to citizenship is awarded to them – more citizens' income for government to fleece and redistribute to the next wave of illegal alien invaders who will demand exceptions in 30 years. DREAMER Hilario Yanez exhibited classic hypocrisy on future individuals in his position – exception for me, but not for thee. Sen. Cruz has his faults, just as everyone else. However, he recognized the problem with taking this issue to the Senate floor for debate under McConnell's leadership. Unfortunately, other Republicans are thrilled to engage in "failure theater" in order to parade in front of the cameras to engage in a "pity party" crying "we tried, but couldn't get it accomplished so we did the best we could." The Senate vote reflected that sentiment. Get ready, America! Even if Trump vetoes their plot, one can bet the Senate would vote to override.

The President just established a new Federal Office…with the express purpose of enabling the American citizen to have recourse against mandatory vaccines. As incredible as that sounds, it is accurate. This information was posted by Jim Stone at Tapestry, and here is an excerpt, taken from the website of U.S. Dept. of HHS that Stone references:

“The Conscience and Religious Freedom Division has been established to restore federal enforcement of our nation’s laws that protect the fundamental and unalienable rights of conscience and religious freedom. OCR is the law enforcement agency within HHS that enforces federal laws protecting civil rights and conscience in health and human services, and the security and privacy of people’s health information. The creation of the new division will provide HHS with the focus it needs to more vigorously and effectively enforce existing laws protecting the rights of conscience and religious freedom, the first freedom protected in the Bill of Rights.”
Amazing: A bureaucratic arm of the federal government enforcing the laws and protections guaranteed citizens by the U.S. Constitution. This is big, and it sets a large precedent. First the “mandatory” clause has been done away with, and now the de facto laws springing up from thousands of little medical fiefdoms requiring their slaves (sorry, “employees”) to be vaccinated…these “color of law” statutes are nullified. The President is fighting one battle at a time against the establishment “Morlocks” as the dismantling process for Obamacare and its Draconian edicts begins in earnest. The other strategy that the Obama holdovers and “5th columnists” inside of the administration have been employing is to attack the President on multiple fronts. Such fronts include non-issues that are nonsensical, such as the “sexual harassment witch-hunts” that managed to take down a slew of individuals or force them to resign, to vacillating foreign policies within the administration that run completely contrary to the President’s declared stance. A prime example is the President’s openly-declared support to Hungarian Leader Viktor Orban and his position against the illegal Muslim aliens that the rest of Europe is trying to force within Hungary’s borders. As the President shows solidarity with Orban on an issue that is close to home (illegal aliens entering the United States), NGOs of Soros have been enabled and sponsored by the U.S. State Department to promote half a million dollars in aid to Soros-controlled anti-Orban journalists “in the interests of freedom of speech and expression.” That half a million dollars is U.S. taxpayer funded: another prime example of misrepresentation and the failure of a government agency (the State Department) to follow the directives of the President. An infestation is what he has been dealing with. The infestation and infection are exacerbated by the liberal, Marxist-filled Mainstream Media who have attacked every policy the President has instituted. The media has falsely alluded everything from Russian pre-2016 election tampering with the President’s knowledge to an affair with a slattern. The media is aided by other Marxist lampreys such as Scarborough, Jimmy Kimmel, Piers Morgan, and a long line of other TV hosts, actors, and their ilk. Even the NFL completely “tainted” itself by taking a stand on a non-issue. The game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Jacksonville Jaguars in England in 2017, where the players “took a knee” during our anthem…against the United States…and rose when Britain’s anthem played…that should say it all. Healthcare workers are forced to receive a vaccination or (if they do not comply) to have their employment terminated. Those vaccinations weaken the immune system and are loaded with toxic chemicals that (at the very least) throw the homeostasis of the individual out of whack. The most recent example with this season’s flu shows (although legally it will never stick in court) that the vaccines are killing patients, and worse: they’re also hurting healthcare workers and making them deathly ill. That is an infringement on more than just freedom of religion: it is infringement of the 4th Amendment… a person’s right to be secure in their own effects…namely, themselves. The President has a big battle ahead of him, but the way that he can win reelection is to stick to his guns and keep acting on behalf of the American people. This negation of forced immunizations is a start. Pelosi, Reid, and all the other Morlocks will cave in if he keeps up the pressure…and if we actively support him in his efforts and do so as We the People and not We the Eloi.

As if rational-minded humans needed any other evidence that the “Russian collusion” narrative was fabricated, a disturbing email from Susan Rice has surfaced, adding fuel to that fire. Rice was Barack Obama’s ambassador to the United Nations and is most known for her lying in the aftermath of the Benghazi scandal. Rice has been neck deep in several scandals, including the “unmasking” ordeal that unfolded shortly after Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election. Senator Lindsey Graham has now described one of Rice’s newly discovered emails as “disturbing,” flinging her head first into the invented Russian collusion scandal. The recently revealed Inauguration Day email from Susan Rice detailed former President Barack Obama’s guidance at a high-level meeting about how law enforcement should investigate Russian interference in the 2016 election. According to Fox News, the email first surfaced Monday, when Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Graham, R-S.C., sent the Obama national security adviser a letter, pressing for answers about the email by next week. “She’s sending herself an email talking about a conversation on January 5 with the president, reassuring herself, and I guess the president, that this would be done by the book,” Graham said Monday night on Fox News’ The Story with Martha MacCallum. “I think that’s odd and disturbing because we know the investigation regarding the Trump campaign was anything but by the book.” Rice’s email, which she sent to herself on January 20, 2017, seemed to document a January 5, 2017, meeting in the Oval Office with Obama, then-Vice President Joe Biden,former FBI Director James Comey, then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, and herself. In writing to Rice, Grassley and Graham said, “It strikes us odd that, among your activities in the final moments on the final day of the Obama administration, you would feel the need to send yourself such an unusual email purporting to document a conversation involving President Obama and his interactions with the FBI regarding the Trump/Russia investigation.” The two senators also noted that while Rice said that Obama instructed Comey to proceed ‘by the book,’ the Republicans claim that ‘substantial questions have arisen about whether officials at the FBI, as well as the Justice Department and the State Department, actually did proceed “by the book.”‘ This major scandal and subsequent mainstream media coverup is slowly unraveling, and it seems there are few high-powered Democrats that aren’t caught up in the corruption. If the general public understood how vulnerable our reliance on global shipping made us, they’d all become preppers overnight. Trucks, planes, and cargo ships are responsible for just about everything modern life depends upon. This reliance on global goods and long-distance shipping puts us all at risk. Our Dependence Upon Global Shipping Modern shipping keeps us clothed and fed. It brings us necessary medicines, fuel to the pumps, and delivers chemicals necessary to municipal water treatment plants. It is truly amazing how seamless it all appears to the average consumer, especially considering shipping’s global scale. That is until there is a problem. Problems can be anything from a trucker’s strike to a plane crashing to a cyber attack shutting down the largest global shipping company. Global shipping is a necessary evil in a world where we rely on global goods. When companies take their manufacturing operations overseas, the first thing we think of is lost jobs. But, we also put access to those goods at risk. Some of these risks include:
Relations with China breaking down over North Korea.
Hackers taking down software (navigation, customer orders, inventory tracking, systems diagnostics, etc) on ships, planes, trucks, and at ports and command centers.
An EMP causing all electronic systems to cease working.
Employees of shipping companies across an industry going on an extended strike.
Deteriorating domestic infrastructure interfering with the delivery of goods.
War/terrorism anywhere in the world causing delays and lost shipments of imports/exports.
Just a 24-Hour Delay Causes Shortages A perfect example of this is shipping fresh food to Alaska all year long. Alaskan grocery stores do what they can to stock Alaska-grown items on their shelves, but due to the climate, Alaskans rely on imported produce and goods. The Anchorage Daily News reported on the impact of a single ship being delayed by just 24 hours for a repair. Here’s what one of their agriculture experts had to say about why Alaska imports so much of its food.

Much of Alaska’s food comes up by container ship over the water. Some also arrives via trucks that take the Alaska Highway, or by air freight. “It’s cheaper to barge or fly it in than it is to grow it here,” said Stephen Brown, a Palmer-based district agriculture agent with the University of Alaska Fairbanks. “The problem with that is that creates a very fragile food supply that’s very easy to be disrupted.” (source)
Further into the above-linked article, a recent disruption came when a ship needed repairs before heading up to Alaska.

A Tote Maritime Alaska ship was the one that was late getting to Anchorage last week, due to a weld that required a repair by divers in Tacoma. “When there are disruptions to that supply chain, things can become difficult rather quickly. That’s when you can start to see shelves looking a little bit thinner. … Nobody wants to buy 2-week-old strawberries that are half-rotten,” said Grace Greene, vice president at Tote Maritime Alaska. “Having a tight supply chain is really critical.”
Cyberattacks Can Shut Down Global Shipping This isn’t just an Alaska problem. Disruptions in shipping can happen anywhere and on a much larger scale. Recently, global shipping giant, AP Moller-Maersk, was hit by a major ransomware attack. This left ships sailing off course and ports were unable to accept ships. According to Reuters:

The cyber attack was among the biggest-ever disruptions to hit global shipping. Several port terminals run by a Maersk division, including in the United States, India, Spain, the Netherlands, were still struggling to revert to normal operations on Thursday after experiencing massive disruptions. This was a wake up call for many in the industry. The article goes on to say

“The Maersk attack raises our awareness of the vulnerability of shipping and ports to technological failure,” said Professor David Last, a previous president of Britain’s Royal Institute of Navigation. “When GPS fails, ships’ captains lose their principal means of navigation and much of their communications and computer links. They have to slow down and miss port schedules,” said Last, who is also a strategic advisor to the General Lighthouse Authorities of the UK and Ireland. (source)
There’s a Shortage of Truck Drivers Add to this that we are experiencing a shortage of truck drivers due to fewer people looking for work, plus increased shipping costs due to increased regulations. The CEO of Tyson foods says:

“These additional costs are included in our outlook,” he told investors and analysts Feb. 8. “However, we’re assuming we’ll recover the majority through” higher prices for consumers. The tightness in the trucking market probably won’t ease any time soon. Employers can’t find enough drivers — at least at the wages companies want to pay — as low unemployment spurs competition from other industries. Construction jobs, for example, pay on par or better and allow workers to be home more with their families. Long-distance truckers can be on the road for weeks at a time. (source)
If a kink in the chain develops, there are fewer people capable of stepping in when needed. Imagine If Truckers Went on Strike If long-haul truckers were to strike, the store shelves would be bare within days. Everything from food, medicines, toilet paper, to gasoline would disappear from store shelves. Life as we know it would come to a grinding halt. Back in 2008, diesel fuel prices rose so high that truckers protested and rallied in cities across the US, threatening to go on strike.

Thankfully, we didn’t experience a nationwide trucker strike that time. The economy was already on shaky ground as it was. Just 5 days Until Chaos So, how long would we really have? You need to check out this article with a video on how we only have about five days before things get really bad. Two quotes from the video really stood out to me. First:

“The growth and population in this country, and the need for the movement of goods and services, is literally going to overwhelm the infrastructure as we know it today.”
And the second quote:

“We are now investing a smaller percentage of our Gross Domestic Product in transportation infrastructure than many third world countries.”
This is a recipe for a disaster if I ever saw one. According to the video, here’s what our situation would look like within 5 days:
Day One– We lose resupply of food and medicines, mail stops, and hospitals run out of clean linens.
Day Two– Gas stations are running out of gas, sanitation systems start to fail, local stores and ATMs run out of cash.
Day Three– Pumps are out of gas, stores have no fresh produce, banks run out of cash, and hoarding begins in earnest.
Day Four– Emergency vehicles and public transport run out of fuel, airports close, and trash piles up in the streets.
Day Five– Chaos
Unless something changes, we will have more people needing more goods and services, and we won’t be able to get them because our infrastructure won’t be able to handle it. How Would You Have Fared? Had truckers gone on a nationwide strike, or if the Petya ransomware attack had interfered with Maersk shipping for more than a few weeks, how would you have held out? Thankfully, most of the scenarios that would impact shipping are temporary, perhaps a few days to a few weeks. Having just a three-month stockpile of food and supplies would cover most emergencies, including shipping delays. You can easily put three month’s worth of necessities aside by adding by buying an extra food item each trip for your pantry. As for your other supplies, look at the five days detailed above. Use that as a guide for what to stock up on. Here are a few more things to keep in mind.
If you store gasoline, you will need to add a fuel stabilizer.
Store long-term food as a back-up to your well-stocked pantry.
Remember to stock up on water, and look into rainwater catchment in your area. (Learn more about water preparedness.)
Have a backup toilet and plans for safely removing human waste.
Grow a garden and secure it. This could mean fencing, alarms, a dog, etc.
Learn to forage and recognize wild, edible and medicinal plants.
If you have a local farm or dairy, start sourcing your foods closer to home.
Get chickens and rabbits for home meat and egg production.
Get a backup solar generator and batteries. This is a bigger purchase than an extra bag of rice, but they run silently. If you’re worried about EMPs, look into constructing a Faraday cage for items like this.
Focus on making your lifestyle more sustainable in every way you can. There are hundreds of ideas in this article.
And finally, get more toilet paper than you think you need. There are options, like personal cloths, squeeze-bottle bidets, and scrap paper, but none of them are quite like toilet paper. Billionaire and Hungarian born investor George Soros is making waves again. He’s meddling in the Brexit issue by giving £100,000 to Best for Britain, a globalist anti-sovereign campaign. Soros angered Brexiteers by donating even more money to a campaign desperate to keep Britain under the thumb of the European Union’s control. The move comes on the heels of Soros drawing fire from Brexiteers when it emerged he was donating £400,000 to the campaign group Best for Britain to try and halt withdrawal from the EU. The group’s CEO Eloise Todd said Brexit could still be stopped and it wouldn’t take much. Best for Britain seeks to stop Brexit and British sovereignty by a simple parliament vote. So why do they need Soros’ money? Because globalism cannot succeed when nations seek sovereignty. “The UK’s future with the EU is not a done deal, there is still a vote to come and people across the country deserve to know the truth about the options on the table: one of which is staying and leading in the EU,” Todd said. Hungarian-born Soros, one of the world’s richest men who made a billion dollarsbetting against Britain on Black Wednesday in 1992, accused critics of a maligning him. “I am happy to take the fight to those who have tried to use a smear campaign, not arguments, to prop up their failing case,” Soros told The Guardian. In a bid to regain the initiative on Brexit after a rocky few weeks during which Cabinet tensions came to the surface, Prime Minister Theresa May is set to make two keynote addresses. The propaganda surrounding Brexit is fierce and attempting to manipulate the public into accepting the EU’s dictatorial control over the UK. Brexiteers are likened to Nazis, while control of the UK is celebrated by those who peddle globalism and tyranny. Britain has a tough battle ahead to preserve their sovereignty; as taking back power has always been difficult, and even George Soros won’t go down without a fight. Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson will kick-off the Brexit blitz on Wednesday, Valentine’s Day, with a call for unity over Brexit. Lissa Lucas, Democratic candidate for District 7 of the West Virginia House of Delegates, appeared at the state capitol to testify regarding House Bill 4268, “which would allow a majority of 75 percent of owners or heirs of a single piece of property to determine whether the property could be developed for oil or gas production” according to WVNews. Lucas claimed that those speaking in favor of the bill and some voting on the bill were being paid by “the industry.”

“I have to keep this short because the public only gets a minute and 45 seconds while lobbyists can throw a gala at the Marriott with whiskey and wine and talk for hours to the delegates,” Lucas said.

If not, I would ask you to just step down.” She went on to name Delegate Jason Harshbarger, who is employed by Dominion Energy Transmission, and claimed that 40 percent of his contributions “comes from the oil and natural gas industry” as the microphone she was using was cut off.
