April 17, 2013 – JAPAN – Koro Bessho, the Japanese ambassador to Seoul, revealed on Wednesday that Japan is ready to sign a bilateral military intelligence agreement with South Korea “at any time.” The ambassador is urging the South Korean government to sign the pact to improve both countries’ security measures in light of the increasingly warlike threats coming from North Korea. “Japan is willing to sign the military intelligence-sharing pact with South Korea at any time,” Bessho said during a press conference in Seoul, adding that the pact is sure to be “mutually beneficial to both South Korea and Japan.” Bessho said that North Korea’s threats should convince Seoul that there is a need for closer coordination between allies Japan, South Korea, and the United States. “While the South Korea-U.S. alliance and the Japan-U.S. alliance are solid, a defense cooperation between South Korea and Japan is still vulnerable,” Bessho said. The ambassador also pointed out that if ever a shooting war breaks out in the Korean peninsula, Japan could be of service to both Korean and U.S. forces. The U.S. has 28,500 troops in South Korea and about 50,000 American troops in Japan. “In case of emergency, most U.S. military personnel and assets should be en route to Japan to go to the Korean Peninsula,” he said. “I think Japan’s Self-Defense Forces and the U.S. 7th Fleet would work together to secure sea routes.” The signing of the intelligence-sharing treaty was postponed last July as the South Koreans showed discontent towards the agreement. “Although it is a sensitive issue, I hope the two nations to forge a close cooperation in the field of defense,” the Japanese ambassador said. If the treaty is signed, it will be the first-ever military pact between the two disputing nations. Bessho admitted that because of historical and territorial issues, there is “no simple solution” to improving relations between South Korea and Japan. Foremost on the list of these will be the Takeshima/Dokdo islands dispute, a territory that lies closer to South Korea but is also claimed by Japan. South Korea administers the territory, keeping a police force on the islets. -Japan Daily Press

Japan to sign historic bilateral military agreement with South Korea: Empty

If they sign this (and they will), our region will be closer than ever to an ASEAN-like unity for the "East Asia Community" grouping… which is what China, Japan, and Korea wants since the Western world started conquering us (which also led to WW2). Yes, "conquer", not one of us in Asia-Pacific ever viewed it as "colonization" - only the West thinks of it as such - that we were barbarians, backwater people.

And as I've said before and repeatedly, China's hand is in all these millenium activities in our region. Take for example North Korea.

The West are rejoicing because China led the latest measures in the UN against North Korea. It was nothing but a show. China planned it all along. NK is China's puppet, no more and no less.

Our region has been planning for an ASEAN-like "union" for East Asia / Asia-Pacific. The EU-style is failing, it simply doesn't work in a wide region. The UN-style is weak. The Federation-style means we have to surrender our independence, and that will NEVER happen. But the ASEAN-style works and fits us well.

The world thinks ASEAN is a failure. Well, it looks like a failure because the the world is basing their judgement on their own standards. Our standards are different. Our needs are different. Our geo-politics is different. Our culture is different. For us, ASEAN works… well. It will work for the whole of East Asia / Asia-Pacific.

China is accelerating the process because "democratic" talks is too slow, and let's admit that, it is slow.

So China re-ignited the territorial disputes against the US allies - the Philippines, Japan, and the not-so-traditional ally VietNam. And every time the US speaks without any concrete action, the image of the US is tarnished in the eyes of the East Asia peoples.

Just look, did the US gave anything to the Philippines to support us against China's incursions to our territory? Nope. The US only gave words, can "words" do anything?

Who helped the Philippines? Japan. Japan donated patrol ships. Yep, nothing in return. So, the reputation of the US is tarnished (China: YES!) and at the same time, the relation between Japan and the Philippines gets even stronger (China: YES again!)

Then China, in "retaliation" to Japan helping the Philippines, re-ignited their territorial dispute with Japan. And here comes the US again! Offering words, no action, nothing but "diplomatic" words. End-result? US' image tarnished again. (China: HOORAY!)

But Korea and Japan, it's very delicate. The dispute between China, Japan, and Korea is far more troubling than their South-East Asian neighbours. So China thought of a plan, tell the North Koreans to destabilize the region. But do not spark a war (or we will wipe you out ourselves).

End-result? South Korea and Japan now have more reason, a grave reason to sign that agreement. The agreement that will make them closer than they've ever been in all history. Who were against it? Their respective peoples. Now with war looming on their doorsteps, these same people are not reconsidering the agreement. To China, it is another VICTORY!

And China knows that South Korea and Japan will sign it no matter what. So, China now started issuing statements that the presence of the US in the region is actually destabilizing Asia Pacifc, not helping it. Why now? Because they're no more need for the US presence, the mission has been accomplished, SK and Japan will sign the agreement.

And that's two-fold. That was the first purpose, the second purpose was: to yet again show that US is the reason that there are wars. To show that wherever the US intervenes, war rages. China's reaction? TOTAL VICTORY. Yet again, at the back of the peoples' minds in our region, people are being "conditioned" that we do not need the US here. That it is time, once-and-for-all, to kick out all Western powers from the combined East Asia region. As it should have been. As it always have been before they conquered us one-by-one in the name of "colonization".

If we want to understand the East Asia / Asia-Pacific region, look back in the past, that's where it all started. If we want to understand where this region is headed, look into the future (the Bible specifically) and you'll know that East Asia / Asia-Pacific is the Bible's "kings of the East" (plural).

Why kings (plural)? Because we will not surrender our sovereignty in the name of unification, union, or federation just as in the US. We will not form a UN-style that is weak (wasn't the UN formed to end all wars?) We will not form an EU-style grouping where we will only bicker with one another.

We will be forming an ASEAN-style East Asia / Asia-Pacific. Where all nations retains their sovereignty. Where all nations agrees on not declaring war on each other. Where all nations agrees on not interfering on each others affairs (like the UN does). Yet, where all nations agrees on helping each other economically, and militarily if attacked by a non-member nation/grouping.

Hence "kings", plural, of the East.
