    Jeremiah 4

5 Declare ye in Judah, and publish in Jerusalem; and say, Blow ye the trumpet in the land: cry, gather together, and say, Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the defenced cities.

6 Set up the standard toward Zion: retire, stay not: for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction. ...

13 Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots [shall be] as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are spoiled. …

16 Make ye mention to the nations; behold, publish against Jerusalem, [that] watchers (H5341 natsar) come from a far country, and give out their voice against the cities of Judah.

17 As keepers of a field, are they against her round about; because she hath been rebellious against me, saith the LORD. ...

20 Destruction upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled: suddenly are my tents spoiled, [and] my curtains in a moment.

21 How long shall I see the standard, [and] hear the sound of the trumpet? ...

23 I beheld the earth, and, lo, [it was] without form, and void; and the heavens, and they [had] no light.

24 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.

25 I beheld, and, lo, [there was] no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled.

26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place [was] a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, [and] by his fierce anger.

27 For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.

28 For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken [it], I have purposed [it], and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.

29 The whole city shall flee for the noise of the horsemen and bowmen; they shall go into thickets, and climb up upon the rocks: every city [shall be] forsaken, and not a man dwell therein.

Some key words in Jeremiah 4 (previous post) are: trumpet, assemble, standard, north, clouds, whirlwind, Dan, watchers, destruction, horsemen, bowmen. The word "standard" could also be interchanged with "ensign".

What I'm trying to do here is look for the prophetic time frame and order of things. Key words, especially when found in similar groupings, are very helpful when searching out parallel scriptures. When parallel scriptures are compared, more details to the story are filled in. And the more details we have, the clearer the picture becomes.

Take the end of Jeremiah 4, for instance.

4:31 For I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, [and] the anguish as of her that bringeth forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, [that] bewaileth herself, [that] spreadeth her hands, [saying], Woe [is] me now! for my soul is wearied because of murderers.

Doesn't that bring to mind some verses in Revelation 12? It does for me.

    Revelation 12
1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

I'll stop here for a moment to say that, after having studied Jeremiah and Isaiah, it seems to me that the child being born (while it may have several meanings) is most likely the purified/refined children of Zion - the millennial generation. More on that later. Back in Revelation 12, we have several things going on:

3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

The stars falling to earth brings to mind the sixth seal:

    Revelation 7
13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

Which was the only thing not mentioned in Jeremiah 4:

23 I beheld the earth, and, lo, [it was] without form, and void; and the heavens, and they [had] no light.
24 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.

    Revelation 12
5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and [to] his throne.

Now, I'm just guessing that maybe it's the 144,000 who are caught up to the throne of God because Jeremiah 4 says it is the first child (or first fruits?). Or, possibly it's the rapture. Hopefully it will all become clearer as we go on.

6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred [and] threescore days.

To me, this is a timing jackpot. As in, does this happen at the beginning of the last 1260 days? IT KIND OF LOOKS THAT WAY.

7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

I would call that Watchers coming down to earth.

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
12 Therefore rejoice, [ye] heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man [child].
14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

When we compare Jeremiah 4 with Revelation 12 they certainly do have some astounding parallels. And when we compare them with the sixth seal, they line up even more. Idea It's leading me to believe that the 6th seal takes place at the beginning of the last 1260 days. More later. flower
