ISRAEL ATTACKS SYRIA

Israel has launched a serious attack against Syria, with numerous explosions taking  place at the Mezze Airport in Damascus.
Initial reports aid that Israeli F-35 fighter jets launched missiles which struck ammunition depots of the SYrian Arab Army (SAA) at that airport.
Other reports say the Israelis launched surface-to-surface missiles at the airport.
REgardless of how the attack was launched, several major explosions have been reported at the Mezze airport and unconfirmed reports indicate at least one high reanking officer of the Syrian Arab Army was killed.

Israeli Jets Bomb Damascus Military Airport; Syria Vows It Will Respond To "Flagrant Attack"

Just as the Syrian proxy war showed some hopeful signs of finally dying down, the Syrian army command said on Friday that Israeli jets have bombed the Mezzeh military airport west of Damascus, accusing Tel Aviv of supporting terrorism, and warned Tel Aviv of repercussions of what it called a "flagrant" attack. Syrian state TV quoted the army as saying several rockets were fired from an area near Lake Tiberias in northern Israel just after midnight which landed in the compound of the airport, a major facility for elite Republican Guards and special forces. The airport was rocked by multiple explosions, some of which were captured by social media.

Confirmed by who? So far just the "conspiracy" sites. Nothing anywhere else. Below link to Israel national news. Syria CLAIMS . . . . well they can claim all they like. So far I can't find anything substantiating said claim. Even the times of Israel link provided by One Sandal says "Syria Blames Israel". So far all reports are coming from ARAB MEDIA! Take that for what it's worth.

How about we cool our heels a while until something verifiable is known. Anything beyond that is pure speculation.

According to the report, ambulances were rushed to the area following the explosions.

One report said that the first airstrike hit a weapons warehouse belonging to the Syrian army near Damascus.
The second attack, according to the report, targeted a convoy of cars belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist group.
Israel does not usually directly comment on reports on attacks which appear in the Arab media.
Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman, however, recently told the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that Israel had prevented the transfer of chemical weapons to Hezbollah, without going into details on how.
