IMHO I think it is lens flair from lights off of an aircraft of some sort.

Dead of winter down there. -40 celcius down there this morning. Probably some kind of made up stuff though, almost looks too impressive to be true. Anyone who has been to a 3D movie lately can understand its gonna be hard/impossible to believe anything we don't see with our own eyes, but eventually 'it' probably will be the real deal.

Somebody is making something out of lens flair that isn't there. So many scammers out there. People . . . analyze these things closer please. If I can do it. you can do it.
Notice the horizon and notice how the image extends BELOW the horizon. The five thin yellow lines mark the perimeter. Now, someone please explain to me how this thing can be seen through what looks to be a solid non-transparent substance.
