Interview addressing missing CDC scientist

It's hard to hear the questions asked, but one that was interesting is a male neighbor spoke to the Dr. on the weekend before he disappeared and said, 'tell your wife to take my number out of her cell phone."

2 clarifications to the info below:
Correction: *passport* and not plural would be the intent. No evidence of multiple identities from the info presented at the press briefing in the video.

Car was in the garage. Open windows were upstairs bath and laundry rooms.


In a nutshell, no evidence of foul play, but police are not ruling it out.

They have asked the CDC to check camera coverage of parking lot to verify that he got into his car and left by himself.

CDC is not sure cameras reach there, but is checking.

He left work that morning after an early, scheduled meeting to discuss with his supervisor why he had not gotten a promotion that he had expected to get.

He had called out the previous Thursday and Friday but came in for the meeting on Monday, and then again stated not feeling well and left.

Phone records show his phone called his mother's number at 9:12am (on the way home?) but she was in the gym and did not get the call. Verizon has verified the call was placed from his phone but there is no missed call record on her phone, nor any voice mail, so police can only state that no other calls were made.

All personal effects were at his home, including passports. They plan to also canvas a cemetery near his home in Atlanta. Dogs did not find anything in the woods behind his house.

Police verified that the neighbor next door was asked the day before to have his wife remove his phone number from her phone, but no further info there. No evidence of him being personally involved with anyone, but friends have been interviewed.

He worked in the Chronic Disease section, not Infectious Disease section, and would not have had access to classified or protected information about contagions that would have made him the object of abduction to get info.
