2020_05_01 Executive Order on Securing the United States Bulk-Power System

Happy May first. This executive order is loooong overdue and after warning after warning about our electrical infrastructure I’m happy to see our venerable power grid finally getting the attention it has been lacking.
 
I’m not getting tired of winning.

TRUMP, President of the United States of America, find that foreign adversaries are increasingly creating and exploiting vulnerabilities in the United States bulk-power system, which provides the electricity that supports our national defense, vital emergency services, critical infrastructure, economy, and way of life.  The bulk-power system is a target of those seeking to commit malicious acts against the United States and its people, including malicious cyber activities, because a successful attack on our bulk-power system would present significant risks to our economy, human health and safety, and would render the United States less capable of acting in defense of itself and its allies.

Can you even imagine having clean energy unconnected to China and maybe even not having to pay a penny for it! Science alert here - There is enough zero point energy locked up inside one cubic centimeter of sea water to completely boil the oceans away. Just imagine what we already know and have and what has been withheld from us.

Link to Nikola Tesla patent in 1888 for long distance AC electricity distribution. The drawing in figure #1 is a simple (by today's standards) transformer. It was a very radical concept for 1888 when everything was DC but without AC transformers we wouldn't have a power grid.
