1 in 242 odds asteroid will strike 1 day before election, NASA data shows
Data from the National Aeronautics Space Administration shows that a 6 and a half foot wide asteroid named 2018 VP1 will make its close approach to Earth just one day before the 3 November election and will have a 0.41% chance of impacting the planet.
However, even with 1 in 242 odds of impacting the space boulder shouldn’t pose much of a risk even if it were to hit due to its small size but it will surely have amateur astronomers on alert.
