| I did some research on this earlier in the day when I saw news of this in India. Black fungus sounds a lot scarier that plain old everyday black mold but that is exactly what it is. Black fungus articles gave the Latin name for this and it is the exact same thing as the black mold that may grow in your walls if there is moisture trapped inside your walls after a flood or water line break. It can make you seriously sick. Add to that - India ain't exactly the most sanitary place on the planet either.
