Inexpensive and Common Cholesterol Lowering Drug Reduces Covid-19 Infection by 70% - UK Study

Add Fenofibrate to the list alongside of Hydrxychlorquine and Ivermectin as a prophylactic against Corona. For the record I’ve used Fenofibrate for around 10+ years and have had no adverse side affects from it. Just picked up an Rx refill of 90 last week in fact. Just sayin’. I'm liking this news.

Fenofibrate and fenofibric acid significantly reduced Covid infection in human cells so expect this affordable medication to be blacklisted soon.
 
“Our data indicates that fenofibrate may have the potential to reduce the severity of COVID-19 symptoms and also virus spread,” Dr. Elisa Vicenzi of the San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan and co-author, said in the release. “Given that fenofibrate is an oral drug which is very cheap and available worldwide, together with its extensive history of clinical use and its good safety profile, our data has global implications.”

Well, the common cold is corona virus and rhinovirus. Influenza viruses types A & B cause most flues. I can honestly say that I haven't had either cold or flu in over 13 or so years and that's with everyone around me coughing and wheezing and generally feeling miserable. Is it the daily Fenofibrate that kept me from catching it? Lord only knows that I should have caught everything from those sickies around me all those years. Not so much as a mild case of the sniffles here.


Make of it what you will. Maybe Fenofibrate was working for me unbeknownst. Can I prove it? No. Is it a possibility? YUP!
