If you recall, Winston Smith’s job in George Orwell’s classic novel 1984 was to go into historical records and literally change history. He would alter photographs and text in the archives so that history would always portray “The Party” in a positive light and as omniscient. Well folks, this behavior has arrived in America and we better nip it in the bud fast before one of these drones is flying right over our heads. "As scrutiny and debate over the use of remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) by the American military increased last month, the Air Force reversed a policy of sharing the number of airstrikes launched from RPAs in Afghanistan and quietly scrubbed those statistics from previous releases kept on their website. On Sunday, U.S. Central Command said in a statement that the decision was made to remove the statistics because the data disproportionately places emphasis on the airstrikes. The majority of the RPA missions are for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, with a small percent involving airstrikes."

| I hear a lot about this from my news sources. To this day I am baffled as to why folks still believe the History books are accurate despite the knowledge that people like Winston Smith were ordered to change the documents for political gains. Some folks just believe every word they are told and question nothing. Curiosity is the inheritance of mankind. Frequently we want to know something only because it needs to be kept secret.
Just as luck appears in three so does misfortune. Because you don't want to see it, you don't see it coming. Even if you notice it you don't say anything, and if you're told you don't listen. Then boom, the end comes. In our world, if you miss the first sign you're dead let alone all three signs

| I have this set of childrens encyclopedia's I found in an abandoned house many years ago, the full set from 1912. They are so cool, someday I'm going to do some comparing with modern versions of the stories in them. | |

| Those are SOOOOO COOL Delfi. I could probably sit down and read them all cover to cover. I used to have an old history book from the mid 1800's and I can tell you this, "today's kids couldn't even begin to answer the quiz questions at the end of each chapter". Heck, I'm an adult (sometimes) and I couldn't answer them. Most college graduates couldn't answer them today either, even history majors. I lost that book someplace (I think it loaned it to someone long ago and it grew legs) and I wish I had it back. It was a pre civil war book too. | |

| They are so cool, I read them a lot, in spells that is. They start from the kindergarten level and work up. They teach how to read music, speak french, make toys, old fashioned toys and have neat old stories, it's almost all God centered. At least it seems that way, there is no evolution teaching I can find, but I haven't read every bit of them. | |

| Delfi, who published those books? Curiosity is the inheritance of mankind. Frequently we want to know something only because it needs to be kept secret.
