One of the most amazing things about the Bible is the accuracy of its predictions of future events.People the world over are eager to believe Nostradamus, Mother Shipton and the Mayas but ignore the predictions of the Bible. Maybe it’s because the Bible doesn’t keep-it-simple-stupid like fake seers do.For instance, Nostradamus wrote about “Hister” in the 1500s. Modern day Nostradamusites believe that had to be Hitler, based on other such context and even though there was a river in Germany named Hister. The Hister (Latin for Danube) orginates in Germany and ends at the Black Sea, Europe’s second longest river. I suppose you could revise Hister to Hitler, but the Bible doesn’t do that. There are no gray areas in Biblical prophecy unless one creates his own.There are many prophecies (predictions of future events) that were made, that occurred as predicted and have been verified in the Old Testament (Tanach). The book of Daniel is full of fulfilled prophecies and of course a few that have not happened yet. Those are not to happen until what the Bible calls the last days.Most of the Biblical prophets predicted with 100% accuracy, current or near-future events. For example, King Cyrus of Persia was spoken of 150 years before he was born and described as a savior of the Jews. Long before King Nebuchadnezzar (current Iraq) captured the only two tribes of Israel’s original 12 that remained, it was predicted that Jerusalem would be destroyed, their Holy and revered Temple would be destroyed (that would be Solomon’s Temple); and the people of Judah would be taken as slaves to Babylon for 70 years. It happened.King Cyrus of Persia (Iran) was to conquer Babylon and Nebuchadnezzar, have mercy on the Jews and allow them to return to Judah and rebuild their Holy Temple. And they did, just as predicted long before the event, long before Cyrus was even a thought. So now the Israelites had their 2nd Temple.One of the prophecies made that hasn’t happened and isn’t to happen until the last days refers to another temple to be built at the site, which would be the 3rd Jewish Temple. However, that temple has yet to be started, much less built. That’s not because the Israelis don’t want to rebuild the temple to the exact architectural specs as Solomon’s original; it’s because the Arab Muslims attacked and took over Jerusalem and the remains of Israel and built their 3rd holiest mosque exactly on the site of Solomon’s Temple. Jihadists have a history of doing this, taking over the sites of a country’s holiest temples or churches or places of military conquest and declaring it their own. Remember the mosque controversy overlooking the World Trade Center’s past location; and of course we all know who caused it to be a past location. It wasn’t the Presbyterians.Rebuilding another Jewish temple, as was predicted thousands of years ago, would mean the destruction of Dome of the Rock and the al-Aqsa mosque (Islam’s 3rd holiest after Mecca, where Muhammad was born and Medina. So, the Islamists put their 3rd holiest structure right on top of Israel’s holiest site. As I mentioned before, this is the custom of the Islamic conquerors. If Israel destroys the Dome of the Rock compound to build their new temple on the same location as the 1st and 2nd, it would most likely cause WWIII. It is possible that an earthquake could happen or some other natural disaster that would destroy the site, but the Israelis would still be blamed. So how could this prediction ever be fulfilled?Enter The Temple Institute in Jerusalem. According to the opening paragraph on their web page: - Quote :
- “The Temple Institute is dedicated to every aspect of the Holy Temple of Jerusalem, and the central role it fulfilled, and will once again fulfill, in the spiritual wellbeing of both Israel and all the nations of the world. The Institute's work touches upon the history of the Holy Temple's past, an understanding of the present day, and the Divine promise of Israel's future. The Institute's activities include education, research, and development. The Temple Institute's ultimate goal is to see Israel rebuild the Holy Temple on Mount Moriah in Jerusalem, in accord with the Biblical commandments.”
According to a December 2, 2013 issue of The Washington Post: - Quote :
- “A small but growing movement by Jewish activists demanding the right to pray at the site of their destroyed temple, in the heart of this disputed capital’s Old City, is creating a potentially explosive clash with the Muslim world, which considers the spot holy and bans Jews from public worship there.”
Isn’t that interesting? If a Jew wants to worship at the Jewish holiest site of which only a western wall remains, they are “activists.” And of course, it isn’t the Presbyterians who are assaulting Jews that try to pray at the Temple Mount. This is the same temple that Jesus threw the scam artists out of 2,000 years ago, 600 years before Islam.In the first paragraph of Matthew 24, Jesus had this to say about the still-standing 2ndTemple after his Apostles were marveling at Jerusalem’s beautiful buildings: - Quote :
- “There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”
Jesus was speaking of what had become known as Herod’s Temple, a tasteless description for the rebuilt Temple allowed by King Cyrus 550 years earlier. Of course, the Romans eventually took care of Jerusalem and the Temple, destroying and burning everything to the ground, as predicted.Many followers of the ancient predictions (eschatologists) fervently believe that another Holy Temple must be built before the last days come into play. How else can the present Israelites conduct ancient sacrificial rituals in the Temple as is supposed to happen? How will the anti-Christ (mentioned 4 times in the Bible and also as the Beast) be able to stand in the Templeand declare himself God in what the Bible calls an Abomination of Desolation? I’m not sure what abomination of desolation really means, but it can’t be a good thing.Activist groups in Israel are becoming more visible and accepted by mainstream Israelites. These groups do not want a “two-state solution” with Palestine a separate state beside Israel. And of course, Palestine has never, in the history of mankind, been a state or country or had a capital. These groups want to take back their ancient land rather than give it away. These groups want, come hell or high water, their Holy Temple back. The Bible says it will happen.It looks like it’s in the process. Get a helmet! |
