"This round glowing UFO was caught on live cam recording the Sakurajima volcano in Japan. This glowing orb is massive in scale and may be heading to a secret entrance around the mouth of the volcano," theorizes Scott Waring on UFO Sightings Daily.

There are many wild theories as to why UFO sightings seem to increase around volcanoes.

"It's a well-known fact that UFOs frequently are seen coming and going from volcanos, but 90% the sightings happen around active volcanos. The smoke, gasses and activity is used to discourage humans from coming too close."

And true to form, there are many volcanos around the world that attract UFO sighting reports, particularly Popocatepetl in Mexico.

A recent UFO sightings video was captured on December 15 over the Popocatepetl volcano in Mexico. In the video, you can allegedly make out two "orbs" floating around the volcano.
