Up to three more feet of snow will pile on beleaguered Buffalo today as a second storm hit western New York, bringing with it dangerous thundersnow. As much as eight feet could pile up by the time the storm passes.Authorities have already been waging a losing battle to clear away the incredible mounds and the the additional wintry blast will make it even harder for the region to return to normal life.Dozens of truckers and other motorists remain stranded the New York State Thruway, a vital highway between western New York and the rest of the state. Some 165 miles of the highway remains closed because lanes are still packed with snow two and a half days after the storm first hit.Roofs across the region have begun to cave in under the weight of the massive snowfall. A boy in Lancaster, New York, was hurt when a porch collapsed on him. A house in house in Alden crashed in on itself because of the snow, though the family inside was not hurt, the Buffalo News reports.Scroll down for video +15
