On that day in 1517, a biblical scholar named Martin Luther did what scholars are supposed to do when they believe the church has made a theological error: He wrote a document containing 95 thesis — a document of well reasoned points of contention, for the purpose of academic debate. Originally, he never intended to leave the Roman Catholic Church but when they read his complaint challenging the papacy’s authority to sell God’s forgiveness (as if they possessed the authority of the triune God and divine council of Holy Ones.) They never have possessed such power.Somewhere along the the line, popes actually seemed to believe their own lies – vicarious Christs- doling out penance (pilgrimage, touching a dead human corpse, community service, chanting “hail mary,” fondling rosary beads… and of course everyone prefers cold hard cash, especially popes. BUT ohhhh what amdeal….purgatory is HOT and indulgences are on sale for a special price!This criticism is not an anachronistic cherry picked medieval nugget to embarrass Catholics, it’songoing. In the interview above we discuss the common Catholic practice of talking to dead humans, praying to corpses, bones, fingers, and vials of blood as a vibrant ongoing activity in majority world Catholicism. Pope Francis has recently been credited with supernaturally transforming dried blood dust allegedly drawn at the death of the fourth century Christian Martyr, Januarius, a “saint” who has now nearly been deified: - Quote :

Believe it or not, in each and every Mass ceremony the priest takes authority over Jesus and somehow is said to pull the King of the Universe off of His throne. Perhaps half of you just decided I’m a Jack Chick wannabe bashing Catholics? Not so fast, in fact, I wish it was that simple. The problem is that I’m not fudging the data to make Catholicism seem occultic, This is what the priest believes he is doing during Mass (according to approved Catholic literature): - Quote :

consecration, he reaches up into the heavens, brings Christ down from his throne, and places Him upon our altar to be offered up again as the Victim for the sins of man. It is a power greater than that of monarchs and emperors: it is greater than that of saints and angels, greater than that of Seraphim and Cherubim.
Indeed it is greater even than the power of the Virgin
Mary. While the Blessed Virgin was the human agency by which Christ became incarnate a single time, the priest brings Christ down from heaven, and renders Him present on our altar as the eternal Victim for the sins of man—not once but a thousand times! The priest speaks and lo! Christ, the eternal and omnipotent God, bows his head in humble obedience to the priests command.

I find this almost unbelievably arrogant and heretical. In truth, I will not reveal the full content of the book I’m currently writing with Tom Horn but you will soon see reliable documentation that I amunderstating the case against Rome, in the interest of charity, I appeal to the many saved Catholics that my sincere hope is that I will put a “stone in the shoe” of some of you folks who treat Catholicism like family loyalty or a personal identity.It can become an identity but, in truth, it is a set of truth claims about the nature of Jesus, Mary, Peter, Palestine, Israel, Marxism, and worst of all, Vatican II style Religious Inclusivism (whichradically alters the Gospel message (1 Cor 15:3- as presented in the New Testament (Acts 4:12) to effectively transmorph the pearly gates of St Peter into the Grand Canyon (complete with new escalators made of gold) that Pope Francis is selling indulgences for a free ride., of course atheists are welcome, but unfortunately the run at a slightly higher price…. due to us pesky Bible believers who insist on taking this passage seriously: - Quote :

It is well reported Pope Francis said atheists please God by obeying their own conscience –most likely seared according to the word of God(1 Timothy 4:2)–a nice “touchy feely” sentiment that walks all over even the traditional Catholic description of human fallenness and for most of us, a period of open rebellion — suggesting the sin nature explained by Paul in Romans 3. I read Romans though and attentively the first time all the way through in one sitting, a little over a fifteen years ago and I knew beyond any doubt that God spoke through Paul. It describes the human condition and the reality I observe better than any other religion or philosophy.It so clear a human being would never come up with this material about human depravity, its clearly written for us, but originally the inspired author was addressing real problems and situations, important debates being discussed within that first Christian church in Rome! He set them straight about Israel but they really didn’t obey him. You must understand the Jews were more powerful than Christians until well after Constantine and they like Saul before he became Paul, who defined Christian doctrine before being beheaded by the same Rome that Constantine change by legalizing Christianity. A common canard is that he made it the state religion but he did not. Theodosius I did that much later in AD 380 and things went to hell in hand basket from there. |
