“But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” 1 Timothy 5:8 [KJV]
Anyone paying attention to current events knows that the world’s decent into chaos is accelerating. Even former President Bill Clinton unequivocally stated that the “world is coming apart” as we enter extremely perilous times. Headlines are becoming dire, and even the rich and powerful are leaving their homes for safer havens, away from cities and populated areas. That there is danger looming ahead can hardly be questioned by any rational person.
As Christians who believe in the Holy Bible, the Word of God and Jesus Christ, what are we supposed to do? What should we be doing as many are sensing the impending peril just ahead of us?
I can think of few other questions that are causing divisiveness within families, among friends, and in particular, within the body of the church. Just within the last several months, I have observed a growing and deepening division among Christians who appear to be wrestling with this issue.
The closer we get to an “event horizon,” or whatever calamity that we will be facing, Christians appear to be “digging in” more deeply in their own beliefs, causing unnecessary and dangerous division among the remnant body. On one side, some Christians are insisting that we must walk in faith alone and earthly preparations are unnecessary, for God will provide. On the other side are Christians who believe that the Holy Bible clearly offers us instruction in this matter, citing the numerous verses and examples from Genesis through Proverbs and beyond that support sober watchfulness and reasonable preparation.
Sadly, it is within this divide that many Christians are overtly critical against other Christians, usually assailing those who advocate wise and reasonable preparations with accusations of “marketing doom” and profiting from fear. Closer inspection of such accusations, however, find those assertions to originate from either the inherent fears of the accusers themselves, or from their failure to adequately provide for their own houses.
To the dismay of mockers and scoffers, the warnings of days past have undeniably become the headlines of today. It is easier, then, for them to excuse their inaction through contempt and accusations against the brethren who have heeded the counsel of the Scriptures.
Regardless of the origins, the divide is growing and becoming more divisive.
Meanwhile, night is fast approaching. The skies are growing darker and the signs are becoming more ominous that something evil and wicked this way is coming. Even non-believers are feeling a growing sense of foreboding and taking steps to protect their charges, for even unbelievers are waking up to the uncomfortable reality that much is amiss.
A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished. Proverbs 22:3 [KJV]
“Preppers” or Historic Realists?
In addition to Christians attacking other Christians on this issue, disparagement and vilification of those who believe in the wisdom of preparing and protecting themselves and their families against the consequences of a disaster is increasing. Historic realists, or those who choose personal preparation over reliance on a system of public support, are being increasingly mocked and ridiculed by those in the secular world.
Such disparagement is sometimes subtle and often found in the pejorative terminology used to describe those who know history or have perhaps themselves experienced disasters. In true Tavistockian and Orwellian fashion, the term “prepper” itself has been inserted into today’s lexicon as a term of implied derisiveness.
Thoughtful and reasonable preparation has been replaced by conspicuous consumption and the ridiculous excesses shown on reality television, again following the Tavistock model of manipulation of public opinion. Individually and collectively, the general public is being constantly and consistently programmed to rely on big government and others for their needs in direct opposition to the lessons of history.
But what about those who choose not to believe that our government will come to our aid in the wake of a disaster or its after-effects? What about those who have studied history and understand that governments have a horrible record of not just protecting, but rescuing its own citizens? In that case, we are the enemy, for the truth exposes the evils that exist within the framework of our government.
The truth is that we are seeing a return to Babylon, the rise of the old world order into the New World Order, and that the globalist agenda has existed all along. It has not just existed, but flourished right under our noses, aided by disbelief and facilitated by a criminal cabal of globalists fighting for a seat at the table of Nimrod. It has now become impossible to extricate current events from biblical prophecy, and we are watching it being fulfilled.
The question is no longer whether we need to be prepared, but how we should be prepared to survive and help others to survive in the coming days so we can occupy until His return.
There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up. Proverbs 21:20 [KJV]
WE HAVE BECOME THE ENEMY – Operating Behind Enemy Lines
Just as the threats to our life and liberty are increasing, so too is the hostility coming from within our own government. Anyone striving to become self-sufficient or has attained that level is considered to be a threat to the government model of dependency that has been incrementally forced upon us. Independence and self-sufficiency is intolerable to the operatives who are ushering in their globalist agenda.
It is vital to understand that we are watching the deliberate orchestration of chaos through open borders, race-baiting, the debasing of our currency, and from countless other directions. Meanwhile, we are being programmed, through all media forms, that everything is okay, or will be made better following the next election. Many corporate mouthpieces, pundits and even self-styled experts are spreading the false paradigm that to believe otherwise is to fall victim to fear or doom porn. It is the process of adhering to an irrational normalcy bias, facilitated by the corporate media, to avoid the unpleasantness of the truth.
Christians believing in self-sufficiency, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of human life and all aspects consistent with the Holy Bible and the intent of the U.S. Constitution are essentially operating “behind enemy lines” and are in a very dangerous environment. It is us who are now under observation and considered a threat to the security of our nation. With the refinement of clergy response teams and the expansion of the surveillance state, it is critical that we become more adept at preparing ourselves and our family by altering the manner in which we prepare.
It is not merely the government’s surveillance apparatus with which we must be concerned, but we must also be alert to the threats posed by individuals and groups that exist within our own venue. We are reaping the intended harvest of the see-something, say something mantra of a decade ago.
This position requires us to think “outside of the box.” Due to this changing designation where the self-sufficient are now the enemy, we are being forced to change our thinking. Just as we must change the way we think about preparation, we must also change our methods and tactics. Many methods and practices of preparation that were once considered “standard” are outdated and outmoded, from the storable items needed to sustain a major supply disruption to the contents of an up-to-date bug-out bag in the event of an unexpected and immediate relocation.
All has changed in the world of economics as well, for nearly everyone in the U.S. and throughout the West are virtual hostages of a predatory banking system. How are we to protect the fruits of our labor? How are we to be good stewards of the blessings bestowed upon us? Safe harbors of the past have become snares of the present.
Confiscation of our assets by the government and pillaging by others are now immediate considerations. How we conduct ourselves in the face of not just the external threats but the internal perils will be of critical importance not only for ourselves, but for those closest to us.
We must change our thinking and alter our strategies, for the stakes are higher and the rules of the game have been changed.
“Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.” Mark 13: 33-37 [KJV]
