i hear so many people saying it ...
Is defending democracy something we want to do?

Democracy in it's boiled down truest sense is a room full of wolves and one sheep deciding on what's for lunch. Lamb chops anyone? It's a pretty lousy form of government if you ask me and our founding fathers knew this. That's why we were given a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC. That, my dear, is definitely worth defending.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the REPUBLIC . . .

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord . . . opening stanza to The Battle Hymn of the REPUBLIC.

The idea that we are a democracy is a lie. Pretty much like most everything else we've been taught is also a lie.

Very well put Researcher!! i can't fool you. 

We really do actually have two systems of government going on in this country. The Republic (of old) is what you have a right to if you were born in one of these 50 states. And the Democracy is the social welfare state (that democrats love so much). We have a choice, one of which you have to be very vigilent to keep. So, i find it kind of sad that so many people choose to defend democracy.
