BOMB THREAT SHUTS TIMES SQUARE IN NYC

The New York Police Department (NYPD) CLOSED Time's Square in midtown Manhattan around 11:30 Sunday night over a Bomb threat.  Police cars cordoned-off the area of West 42nd Street and 7th Avenue, and cleared pedestrians from the Square.
Hotel guests were told to remain locked in their rooms.
 

UPDATE 12:15 AM EDT  MAY 1 --

Multiple thoroughfares in Times Square were shut down late Sunday night after two suspicious devices were found in the area.

Two devices were found within 50 feet of each other near 44th Street and Seventh Avenue around 11:20 p.m., officials told SuperStation95.

Sixth, Seventh and Eighth avenues were shut down to vehicles and pedestrians between 42nd and 45th streets.

The NYPD Bomb Squad is on the scene.

Times Square has been re-opened to traffic and pedestrians.  Scene is safe.
