Fox Business Network later announced Pence just entered the West Wing of the White House.
The White House did not discuss why Vice President Pence was called to the White House.
On Friday President Trump was asked about this unusual episode.
He told reporters they will know in about two weeks(?)
Reporter: Why did the Vice President cancel his trip the other day?
President Trump: You’ll know in about two weeks. A very interesting problem that they had in New Hampshire. That I can’t tell you about. But it had nothing to do with the White House. There was a problem up there. And I won’t go into what the problem was but you’ll see in about a week or two.

 If Pence stepped off the vice presidential aircraft, one of the people he would have seen on the ground was under investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration for moving more than $100,000 of fentanyl from Massachusetts to New Hampshire.
Jeff Hatch, who agreed in federal court Friday to plead guilty and will face up to four years in prison, works for an opioid addiction treatment center in southern New Hampshire that Pence was set to visit. A former New York Giants player, he has spoken publicly for years about his own challenge with drug and alcohol addiction, which ended his football career.
Hatch did not return a message left on his cell phone. Hatch until Monday was the chief business development officer for Granite Recovery Centers, which provides treatment for substance abuse.
After this story first published, Granite Recovery Centers CEO Eric Spofford said in a statement: “I am shocked and disappointed to learn today that Jeff Hatch has pled guilty to a drug offense. Granite Recovery Centers terminated Jeff’s employment today immediately upon learning about this matter.”

Hatch was arrested in 2017.  He has been working with enforcement since then (for a lighter sentence).
Obviously undercover.  I don't see a more recent offense.  (???)  Bad press for VP if they met, but gee....

The hatch opiate thing sounds suspiciously like a cover story to me. Didn't that Russian submarine fire (sic) that killed 14 "high ranking officers" sailors just happen after meeting up with an American submarine? Meanwhile, over in Russia, Putin was calling high level emergency meetings and the leader of the EU were dancing around like someone shoved hot lava up their collective bums.

Hatch = cover story IMHO. A the average merican with their 13 second memory will swallow it.

That part about meeting up with an American sub...hmmm...wasn't that some "BACKSIDE (ahem..) INTEL"?

It just goes to show ya, on the left, on the right, there's ALWAYS something fishy going on.  

But yes, the Ruskie sub and the VP 180 happened concurrently.
