 Here's what went down on the Hse flr regarding Pelosi's language. GOP GA Rep Collins accused Pelosi of breaking Hse rules. So he demanded her words "be taken down." This is the Congressional equivalent of being pulled over for speeding.

B) The House then took an hour, trying to figure out of if Pelosi broke the rules with her language on the flr. Pelosi left the flr. Mbrs who are flagged for possible decorum violations are supposed to remain on the flr. But Pelosi left.

D) Hoyer came to preside over the Hse. He ruled from the chair that the language used by Pelosi did not adhere to the rules of decorum in the House.

E) Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA) challenged the language of Pelosi. Fox is told Collins used House Rule XXII, Clause 1(B). That rule requires that remarks on the floor “be confined to the question under debate, avoiding personality.

F)  Hoyer ruled that, based on the precedent set on May 15, 1984, Pelosi’s language did not meet the standard set for decorum by Hse mbrs.

G) The precedent Hoyer used was set in 1984 when then-future Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-GA) called out then-Speaker Tip O’Neill over his language on the floor. The House ruled against O’Neill.

H) After Hoyer made the ruling, rebuking Pelosi, Collins made a motion to strike Pelosi’s offending words from the record. That entails a roll call vote. That vote is on now.

I) On the vote regarding whether Pelosi violated rules of decorum, Democrats are voting IN FAVOR OF SUPPORTING Pelosi, allowing her language to stand. The vote is still open. So far, it is a party line vote.

J) Said one Democratic member to Fox about Dems voting to allow Pelosi's language to stand, even though it was ruled out of order: “We’re going to defend our Speaker.”
So, the House is actually voting AGAINST Hoyer’s ruling for the chair that Pelosi broke the rules.

The Hse has voted to allow the language of Pelosi to stand, despite it being ruled out of order from the chair. The house voted 232-190 AGAINST the request made by Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA) that the words by Pelosi should be stricken from the record. Party line vote

Hse is now voting to allow Pelosi to “proceed in order.” Usually when someone breaks Hse rules and their language is ruled out of order, that member is barred from speaking the rest of the day. This vote would allow Pelosi to speak on the House floor for the rest of the day

Hse votes to allow Pelosi to “proceed in order” as though nothing happened, even though it was ruled earlier she broke House rules when it came to decorum. Vote was 231-190. Party line vote. Had the Hse not voted, the Hse would have barred Pelosi from speaking the rest of the day



McCarthy tells Hse that "the world is watching us." after nearly 3 hr kerfuffle over whether Pelosi's language was in order regarding the Hse's resolution condemning President Trump for "racist comments."

I heard Sen. Kennedy on Tucker (I think) last night.  TOO FUNNY!

condemning him as a racist by urging the radical left "squad" of freshman House Democrats "if you are not happy here, you can leave", the president is back with another tweet storm guaranteed to send Democrats on Capitol Hill into fits of apoplexy.
In a string of tweets, Trump quotes Louisiana Senator John Kennedy, who blasts the members of the "squad" - AOC, Ayanna Pressley, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib - as "left wing cranks" and "the four horsewomen of the apocalypse." Kennedy blasted the Congresswomen as irredeemably dumb ("they're the reason there are directions on a shampoo bottle") and lamented the fact that Democratic presidential candidates are "falling over themselves to try and agree" with them.
Kennedy starts by accusing the four women of believing that America is "wicked in its origins" and that "we are all racist and evil."
