Microsoft pulled a new ad featuring famed "Spirit Cooker" Marina Abramovic after getting huge backlash over the weekend on social media.
The ad, titled "Marina Abramovic Presents 'The Life' in Mixed Reality," featured a "mixed" reality "art" exhibit whereby Abramovic's image was viewed by onlookers through a mixed reality headset which projects images onto a pair of glasses.
All I can think of is that she must have been horrifically abused to have such a degree
of disassociation. In one of her exhibitions, she had a table full of instruments that could be used to inflict pain and insisted that attendees use them on her. That was the 'life art' presentation of that showing.
