What's going on, is that Milley is right. It was an inappropriate move meant to project the idea that the military was directly involved in domestic affairs in ways in which they were absolutely not.


(I never saw it as representing military direct military involvement into domestic affairs, but obviously very many did)  (Or else I'm ready for that if required, so it didn't phase me)
