The Woman of the Wilderness

After going through parts of Revelation today, I'm coming more and more to think that the woman protected in the wilderness is the same as the 144,000. In chapter 12 the woman clothed with the sun is Virgo the virgin and in chapter 14 it says this about the 144,000:

Revelation 14

4 These are they which were not defiled with women;

for they are virgins

. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, [being] the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

The woman is protected at the beginning of the last 3.5 years and, if you read Revelation the way I do, (which pretty close to no one does) then so do the 144,000 according to the time-frame of chapter 14.

Um... I'm not a bible scholar, but the woman and the 144 thousand don't sound the same to me. The 144,000 sound like virgin men who already have been taken as first-fruits. Which I didn't know btw. Maybe the 144 thousand are the cloud of witnesses. Just thinking.
