No one ever states the obvious, these inflated job numbers probably have A LOT to do with people needing 2,3 even 4 jobs to afford the cost of living in todays America. That’s not an exaggeration. I get comments all the time with people telling me how many hours and jobs they have to work just to survive, yet politicians just push out these charts as if it’s a positive, it’s not. It’s horrible.

They changed how they count inflation multiple times so the report a lower number to reduce cost of living adjustments on Social Security.

A delinquency notice was issued Monday showing less-than-truckload carrier Yellow Corp. failed to make required contributions to health and welfare and pension funds for the month of June and that it is planning to withhold payments for July. The two periods total more than $50 million, according to a letter from Central States board of trustees. Teamsters at Yellow operating companies YRC Freight and Holland that are covered under plans managed by Central States will be impacted. The letter said health care claims incurred after Saturday would not be paid unless employees choose to “remit self-payments.” The company’s participation in the pension plan would be terminated effective Sunday if payment is not made, meaning no further accruals of pension benefits. The letter showed Yellow was making the move “to avoid running out of cash.”

After several months of cutting oil production by several OPEC+ countries, the production indicators finally dropped in November after cutting back since July. This has the tendency to raise the price of crude oil. It will increase transportation costs here in America as we are one of the highest consumers of OPEC+ oil. Look for transportation of goods and services to slow down as a result. The current agreement is to slow production for the first quarter of 2024.
