The critical question, that we have the answer to, is why the Nashville hub.
I'll try to gather it up into one place again so I don't misrepresent any part of it.

Server Side Encryption Keys generally rotate automatically, but bits of data are stored by the Key Management System in order to decrypt future keys.
These are stored in a small log file that, if improperly accessed, could compromise any future key based off of the data chain.
So, if someone were to say, steal a small set of key logs from a central server location where they were housed, one could feasibly gain access to private networks and data housed across a much larger spectrum.

Note: AWS KMS saves references to the older backing keys when renewing. So that KMS is able to decrypt data or data keys that were generated by older versions of backing keys. Otherwise, those data/data keys can never be decrypted.

Spanish National Police cleared out all stores around the Telefonica (first and biggest telecom company in Spain) building in Fuencarral and Gran Via streets.
