Uvalde families confronted Texas Department of Public Service Director Steve McCraw Thursday, demanding he resign for his inaction during the school shooting massacre that killed 19 students and two teachers.

THREAD: Standing feet from Texas’ top law enforcement officer, families of the children killed in the mass shooting at Robb Elementary confronted him, telling him to live up to his pledge and step down if his troopers had “any culpability” in the shooting.

Family members called McCraw’s handling of the shooting “absolutely unacceptable, hurtful, painful.” They accused him of pushing false information that “basically lit a match and it set the town on fire.”

The US has gone on record stating that although these labs were doing this research, it was above board and public knowledge and not weapons related.
However, it should be noted that the US is also adamantly against any international investigation into any of the labs themselves, as they declared angrily at the UN security council yesterday when Russia invoke Article VI and requested an international investigation take place.

On Saturday night in Seoul, South Korea, at least 146 people were crushed to death and another 150 were injured at a large Halloween celebration turned horror show.
 
The New York Times reported that approximately 100,000 people showed up to the event, and narrow streets were crammed full of people who were unable to move. So many people were present that emergency workers struggled to make it to the victims, and further struggled to transport them out of the area to hospitals. 
 
The Yonsan-gu Fire Department said that no gas leak or fire in the area was present, while they continually investigate what led to so many deaths. Choi Seong-beom, head of the fire department, told reporters that “many casualties were incurred as a crowd of people fell over during Halloween parties.”
 
Some reports claimed that “Dozens of people reportedly [suffered] mysterious cardiac arrest symptoms during Halloween celebrations in Seoul, South Korea.” those reports are unconfirmed.
