Tell DudeV. David would definitely trip.
This is going to be very understated. But the ramifications are massive.

I'm on the tail end of a major 2 year project at work that has had my attention the last 6 weeks. So that meant no major discussions here....
This weekend, I gelled on what geekglyph has put together at their website. The first post above covers the details, which is the last post of my set. The rest are comments on geekglyph's videos explaining the theory as I began to go through it -- and pointing to the dual frame tool that uses google earth views side-by-side to show the lines (not just figures) of the Nazca plain -- and the projection of the Nazca lines onto the globe in the other frame. It takes a bit to load, but should be less than 30 seconds.

The tool allows looking at both the terrain at Nazca and a 666x scale expansion of the Nazca lines onto the globe, with a 72.5 degree tilt adjustment. Looks like they used the entire plain and some of the mountains to practice and memorize global navigation -- in detail.
Primarily, the map covers the Pacific, Mesoamerica, and South America. It has navigation and trade routes more than coastal boundary lines.
Those that know mapping, navigation, projections, etc. need to double check me on this -- but let me simply say, I'm more than 75% convinced.
Will start to shift analysis to this forum. Probably multi-part.
