Did you know that in the US- you are legally allowed to “opt out” of the body scanner at the airport? I do it every time. They are all trained and used to it. It’s very routine- they just pass you through and give you a pat down instead. Takes an extra 5 minutes tops. If it wasn’t harmful, they wouldn’t be legally required to let you opt out.
