We’re in for a mess of trouble: when Trump enters office, he’ll unleash a storm of repression. He has a blueprint to shut down pro-Palestinian protests, close down nonprofits that resist his agenda, and silence media critics.    But with your help, we’ll stand against him every inch of the way! Donate! The work starts today. We need to work together to use this lame duck period to Trump-proof our democracy. We have exactly 75 days and there is a lot to do.   We’ll fight hard to make sure Congress passes guardrails to protect press freedom, rein in government surveillance, protect dissent, and comply with international law.   For over sixty years, we’ve never backed down from a tough fight. We’ve always fought for the people’s right to know and freedom to act, no matter who is in the White House.   Eight years ago, we set in motion a dynamic plan to fight Trumpism. We built walls of solidarity against his agenda, and we survived.    When the FBI tried to paint Black Lives Matter activists as violent extremists, we raised hell and forced them to backtrack.   When Trump imposed his Muslim Bans (both times), we forcefully condemned the bans,  helped organize protests at airports and the White House, and mobilized thousands of messages to Congress.   When the Trump Administration tried to extend the Patriot Act mass surveillance program, we fought tooth and nail to shut the program down – and won.   We didn’t back down then, and we sure as hell aren’t backing down now.    Will you stand with us?
