My friend and co-author Doug Krieger shared this fine bit of writing, which he calls a rant (fully justified in my eyes), against a particular discernment ministries, notably the latest provocation from The Berean Call (an institution founded by the late Dave Hunt who we highly esteemed).
Krieger, McGriff, and I are proud to call friends the subjects of the accusation “apostate” by Sarah Leslie and Gaylene Goodroad. We dare to exercise our own discernment and call their work divisive and their scholarship slipshod. Furthermore, since they will not debate their contentions (though even Chuck Missler has reached out to them – as did I – Doug Woodward, about two years ago). They prove not only dogmatic – they are demogagues – offering slick sound bytes, justifying their “truth” by saying how they speak only harkening to the authority of Scripture, and that we, the “post-modern prophecy” pundits, supersede what the scriptures teach because other sources than the Bible are included in our writings and presentations. By this peculiar name calling, they have sought the unction of the late Francis Schaeffer (by calling our brethren “post-modern.”) NO, NO. NO. Believe me, even Francis Schaeffer specifically cited Genersis 6 and indicated there was an angelic incursion upon which all the mythologies of the world seem certain to have been based. (I’ll find the reference if requested – time does not allow for me to go reference checking at the moment).

We would hope they would reset their sights away from genuine brethren like LA Marzulli, Tom Horn, Gary Stearman, Chuck Missler, Cris Putnam, et al – and focus on the real enemy of the brethren: The History Channel’s Ancient Aliens, the latest incarnations of the New Age Movement in whatever form they are found, and any form of Christianity that denies the essentials of our faith: that Jesus came in the flesh, that He is the unique Son of God, the second person of the Trinity, and that He died as a substitute for our sins, and He was raised physically into a new immortal body – a body of kind which we ourselves will possess at the resurrection or rapture. Amen.

When Jesus was on the earth during His 3.5 years of ministry it appeared that all hell was loosed and demons were utterly “in His face” and incessantly so – “casting out of demons” seemingly was an abundant past time of Jesus while on the earth – thus, the greater the darkness the more the Light of Life exposed these wretched beings.
The worship of Baal, brought in by the Daughter of Tarshish, Daughter of Tyre into Israel, the Northern Kingdom, was an admixture of Baal worship mixed in with the religion of Jehovah – I mean, why not, can’t we all just get along? NO, we can’t – WHAT FELLOWSHIP HAS LIGHT WITH DARKNESS!? Satan sends forth his imps disguised as angels of light or blatantly as the “powers of darkness”…everything from the walking dead to vampires to ghosts, to extraterrestrials and on and on it goes.
[Those inclined toward the new age thinking might] admire the findings of THRIVE and the sincerity of their prime mover, Forrest Gamble, heir to the Proctor and Gamble dynasty/food empire – his conclusion of the matter is this: The aliens, extraterrestrials who communicate to us through crop circles and are seen in UFOs, abductions, experimentation and what not, with their implants, ad nausea, ad infinitude, are coming to help us!
[Woodward side note: to intentionally misquote Fox Mulder from the X-Files: "THE UNTRUTH IS OUT THERE!" We can either chose to ignore "the facts" that don't fit into our worldview, or we can open our eyes, see all the facts, revamp our worldview and thus be in a better position to defend the faith once delivered to the Saints - or as Jude said before he quoted the Book of Enoch: " it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints." (Jude 3)] Returning to Krieger:
I am reminded of Johanna Michaelson’s THE BEAUTIFUL SIDE OF EVIL – listen, these creeps masquerade as “light bearers” – DEMONS (common vernacular) seemingly bearing gifts only to seduce the unsuspecting and the naive, as well as the educated skeptic who sits in their ivory tower smug in their own deceit…utterly susceptible to the “powers of darkness” – No, WE ARE NOT IGNORANT OF SATAN’S DEVICES.
Now, those from the “Church of the Immaculate Perception” deign to discredit the research and work of what they call the PACK: L.A. Marzulli, Tom Horn, Steve Quayle, Peter Goodgame, the late David Flynn, Doug Hamp, Patrick Heron, Chuck Missler, Mark Blitz, and, in particular, PROPHECY IN THE NEWS…Gary Stearman, Bob Ulrich and others like Chris Putnam.
Listen, I’m fed up to here with their foolish accusations – indeed, as the Apostle Paul said in his day: “Desiring to be teachers of the law, UNDERSTANDING NEITHER WHAT THEY SAY NOR THE THINGS WHICH THEY AFFIRM” (I Tim. 1:7). What I’m saying here is just this – from the Amplified Version:
6 But certain individuals have missed the mark on this very matter [and] have wandered away into vain arguments and discussions and purposeless talk.
7 They are ambitious to be doctors of the Law (teachers of the Mosaic ritual), but they have no understanding either of the words and terms they use or of the subjects about which they make [such] dogmatic assertions.
In this case, they claim the mantle of Christian Orthodoxy/Inerrancy/ Biblical Literalism/Dispensationalism/Christian Fundamentalism but in their pontification and “discernment ministry” they have discredited the true ministry of discernment and gone after brethren of genuine repute in Christ! The day comes when they shall seek to take us to the worldly courts – turning brother against brother in the process… so little do they realize that they are fulfilling the words of Jesus:
“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake…and then many will be offended, will BETRAY ONE ANOTHER, and will HATE ONE ANOTHER…Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many” (Matthew 24:9-11). How clever of them to dismiss these passages and accord them to Israel only! They have absolutely no idea that they are becoming the instruments of the Wicked One!
They claim the uplifting title of “Watchmen on the Wall” – not “prophets” – lest they be stoned for their false accusations and frivolous charges, having little scriptural under girding to their inflammatory disputations!
Indeed, they have the chutzpah to show up at our prophecy conferences to spy out our liberty in order that they might rail on our liberality – God have mercy on their souls.
Nearly all the brethren I have aforementioned who are the target of their prattling will not, praise God, stoop to defend themselves from their vacuous and invidious commentary – but since I find myself a direct descendant of Martin Luther and “can do none other” – I welcome the opportunity from time to time in “defense of the faith once delivered” to throw their charges back at them – shame on these brethren who cause division like this within the Church of the Living God! All HELL is at our doorstep and these characters have nothing else to do aside from going after what I call “God’s A-Team” – the Lord shall have them (those who accuse) ”in confusion/derision” before the Seventieth Week of Daniel soon comes.
Yes, DECEPTION is a hallmark of the End of Days – they have become unwittingly a part of that Great Deception!
