China has just announced, in response to what it calls US aggression, that it has placed all its US treasury bonds on the open market and simultaneously has declared the South China Sea a closed zone. This is a developing story, please check for updates.

I'm trying to find verification for this through some mainstream media source and am having no joy. Lots of activity on the more conspiratorial news sites that have picked it up already, but something like this if true would be all over the news worldwide except maybe in the United States, land of the sheeple, controlled news. Y'all get busy and see if something shows up on the BBC, Der Spiegel in Germany or something else such as these. Meanwhile I've put up a YouTube video that shows a photo of the cached CNN article. That's really ALL the reason that I put it up so anything beyond that photo, well, make of it what you will. This story needs to be vetted and verified and so far I ain't buyin' in until it is.

It's one thing for the Comedy News Network formerly known as CNN to announce the opposite verdict on Obamacare as breaking news or that the TV studio formerly known as the NYSE is under 3 feet of water (based on what it saw on Twitter). It's something else entirely for it to report that China has declared semi-hot war on the US (unless of course CNN is merely reporting tomorrow's news today).

Luckily this time it was merely a a hack, as can be seen by the "article's" subsequent deletion from the live page and CNN's mea culpa:

• CNN SAYS COMPROMISED ACCOUNTS INCLUDE TWITTER PAGE, FACEBOOK
  

But perhaps more telling is the complete lack of market response to even the hacked article, so different to the AP hack from last summer when the market plunged if only briefly following a hacked AP tweet. Just goes to show how irrelvant the once upon a time only news network has become.

Either this is truly a hack, or someone's trying very hard to hide it.  At least until they can spin it.

Oh, and to add, thank you Rose for getting our attention on this. I meant to say that in the previous post but got so carried away with trying to vet the story that I forgot. It's called a "senior moment" and I seem to get a lot of them.

haven't looked around yet this morning BUT... we have all been warned about this truly happening, it would be a big event and affect economies world wide... and no doubt war would probably soon follow.

did any of you see that Germany had only recovered 5% of its gold from the reserve banks.

NEW YORK—U.S. stocks slumped, joining a two-day selloff in global equities, as continued volatility in emerging-market stocks and currencies prompted investors to flee riskier assets.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average slid 200 points, or 1.2%, to 15998 in midday trading. The index fell below 16000 in intraday trade for the first time since Dec. 18. On Thursday, the Dow slumped 176 points.

So, the false CNN report was a shot across the bow - I had a sick feeling in my gut that that was the case.  It is an Illuminist warning.  And, China has put strictures on the South China Sea.  It won't be long now.

This is an awesome show. "V" said that this was NOT a case of CNN being hacked. Any day now.
