Many scholars now believe that it contains the Ten Commandments, including 3 instances of the Tetragrammaton, inscribed in old Hebrew letters.
The above inscription is very unique for several reasons. First, it is written in an ancient Hebrew script. Second it is located near the small town of Los Lunas in the State of New Mexico, USA. Third, the inscription is of the "Ten Commandments".
This proves that a Semitic people, probably Hebrews, arrived in the Americas long before Columbus or the Vikings.
The above inscription cannot be a fake for the following reasons. The actual time of discovery of the inscription is not known but was known by the locals as far back as the 1850's. At that time, the script of the text was unknown and therefore undecipherable. It was not until this last century that the ancient Hebrew (paleo-Hebrew) script was discovered in the Near East. Once this ancient script was discovered the Los Lunas inscription could be deciphered and was found to be a copy of the "Ten Commandments".
When we compare the script on the Los Lunas inscription with the above inscription found in 1993 at Tell Dan in the land of Israel, we find that the scripts are almost identical. Below is a comparison of the scripts from both inscriptions
The Tel Dan inscription was written around 1000 BCE. Since the Los Lunas inscription uses the same script, it is safe to conclude that the Los Lunas inscription was written by a Hebrew people about 3,000 years ago. Other ancient Hebrew inscriptions have been found around the country including Tenessee and the Mississippi Valley. Translation of the Los Lunas Inscription
The stone inscription is carved in old-Hebrew letters. These are almost identical in shape and font-style with Phoenician characters. Each line in the message is to be read from right to left. In the Hebrew written language there are no vowels. It only uses consonants.
Each statement is separated from the next one by a dot sign. This separation style is not uncommon for old Hebrew or Phoenician inscriptions. E.g. the Middle Eastern Moabite Stone (9th century B.C.E.) follows a similar pattern using dot separators between words.
The Los Lunas inscription starts with the top line, continues on the 3rd line, goes back into the 2nd line (that one was inserted later, hence the smaller line spacing !), it then goes on with the left half of the 3rd line and continues all the way down to the last line.

Archaeolinguist Cyrus Gordon has proposed that the Los Lunas Decalogue is a Samaritan mezuzah.[11] The familiar Jewish mezuzah is a tiny scroll placed in a small container mounted by the entrance to a house. The ancient Samaritan mezuzah, on the other hand, was commonly a large stone slab placed by the gateway to a property or synagogue, and bearing an abridged version of the Decalogue. On historical and epigraphic grounds, Gordon regards the Byzantine period as the most likely for the inscription. The Samaritan alphabet is a direct descendant of the Paleo-Hebrew alphabet.
One argument against the stone's antiquity is its apparent use of modern Hebrew punctuation,[citation needed] though amateur epigrapher Barry Fell argued that the punctuation is consistent with antiquity.[12] Other researchers dismiss the inscription based on the numerous stylistic and grammatical errors that appear in the inscription.[citation needed]
According to archaeologist Kenneth Feder, "the stone is almost certainly a fake." He points out that "the flat face of the stone shows a very sharp, crisp inscription..." His main concern however is the lack of any archaeological context. He argues that to get to the location of the stone would have required whoever inscribed it to have "stopped along the way. encamped, eaten food, broken things, disposed of trash, performed rituals, and so on. And those actions should have left a trail of physical archaeological evidence across the greater American Southwest, discovery of which would undeniably prove the existence of foreigners in New Mexico in antiquity with a demonstrably ancient Hebrew material culture..." and states that "There are no pre-Columbian ancient Hebrew settlements, no sites containing the everyday detritus of a band of ancient Hebrews, nothing that even a cursory knowledge of how the archaeological record forms would demand there would be. From an archaeological standpoint, that's plainly impossible."

Things like this have been found in various places worldwide and known about for a long long time. They don't fit the "standard approved version" mold of history so such findings are suppressed.
I still point to the so-called lost ten tribes that God himself dispersed worldwide. They, we, you, me, are everywhere.

Only further proves what many people have written but were branded as cults and fakes by mainstream Science and mainstream Christianity.
Some of them and their works are the likes of: 1) Jonathan Gray - read his works! He explained how the Hebrew and Phoenicians were able to reach the Americas (North and South) before Columbus! - If we're going to base it on Jonathan Gray's explanation, the inscription/stone shown by the OP was from the Hebrew people during the time of King Solomon. 2) Ten Lost Tribes of Israel and how many EU and the US itself are descendants of these 10 lost tribes 3) How the Creation story is literally 6-Earth Days only 4) How humanity is no older than 5,000 - 6,000 years only etc. etc.

Hi I have been checking in to your site for quite a while now, but I finally registered today because I wanted to mention something about this stone that you may find interesting. I am from New Mexico, and my mother and father have been to this site. I have a large folder of information regarding this that I am hoping I can dig up. The jews who carved the decalogue stone were there during the fest of tabernacles. There is archaeological evidence of their booths as well as a carved star chart that depicts an eclipse. This has been dated at September 27, 759 BC! This date agrees with the paleo-hebrew language it is written in which was used from 700-1200 BC. At this area there also exists an altar stone, encampment sites, and pottery shards. There are hundreds of petroglyphs in this area, and a carving of "YHWH Elohyenu" which means God our mighty one. As far as the claim that it is a fraud, there is documentation by the University of New Mexico that this area was discovered over 100 years ago, not to mention the stories of the Native people in this area. The paleo-hebrew language wasn't discovered for another 20 years after that. How ould someone create a forgery in a language not yet discovered?

This as you can see was awhile ago.I remembered it when reading this thread.I also remember a show being done on this as it had connections to the eclipse happening back then.So little time so many eclipes to try to remember! On May 20, 2012, a friend and I witnessed a spectacular sign in the heavens, on the Hidden Mountain which bears the name of YHVH. This mountain is located in Los Lunas, New Mexico, about 25 miles south of Albuquerque, NM. The path of this annular eclipse began on the Chinese coast and ended over the western United States. The center path of this eclipse took it directly over Albuquerque. This eclipse took place on Iyar 28, the day the Jews remember the passing of Hannah’s son Samuel, in Ramah (28 Iyar, year 2884 from creation, 2888 years ago). This is also the day celebrated as Jerusalem Day. In 1967, the Old City of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount were liberated during the Six-Day War. Other notable events on May 20: 325, First Council of Nicea, Easter would never again be celebrated on the same day as Passover; 526, Earthquake in Syria kills 300,000; 1506, Death of Christopher Columbus; 1883, Krakatoa begins to erupt; 1915, Birth date of Moshe Dayan, Minister of Defense during the Six-Day War; 1915, Ottoman Empire allows Hebrew to be used once again as a written language; 1927, Treaty of Jedda, United Kingdom recognizes sovereignty of King Ibn Saud in Hejaz and Nejd, which later merge to become the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; 1940, concentration camp at Auschwitz, Poland begins receiving prisoners; 1941, first official reference by Hermann Goering to The Final Solution; 2009, Iran successfully test fired missile with range of 1200 miles, far enough to strike Israel, southeastern Europe, and US bases in Persian Gulf. It was also in this season in 1948 that the Arab-Israeli War (War of Independence) began with attacks from King Abdullah I of Jordan, the Supreme Commander of the Arab Forces.
With all these significant events circling around the eclipse, witnessing it from Hidden Mountain seemed appropriate. Hidden Mountain holds the mysterious Decalogue Stone, possibly the oldest inscription in stone, of the Ten Commandments. Joshua 8:32 “Yehoshua wrote there upon the stones a copy of the Torah of Moses, which he wrote in the presence of the children of Israel.” Other significant markers are the YHVH Stone, and the Star Map. With this information in hand, we set out on an expedition to find and document these stones. Joshua 4:7 “Because the waters of the Jordan River were cut off in front of the ark of the covenant of YHVH; when it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. So these stones shall become a memorial to the sons of Israel forever.” We had no clear directions on how to find the mountain or the stones themselves, but we knew we would be shown the way. Psalm 27:11 “Teach me thy way O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of my enemies.” The first gate is right next to the entrance of the Valencia County Landfill. I am not sure why the county chose to place this entrance next to Hidden Mountain, but I consider it an insult. Romans 2:24 “For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you, just as it is written.”
On the right hand side of the main trail is a large volcanic stone sitting apart from the mountain. It stands about 10ft high. There is nothing spectacular about this rock, other than its size and its separation from the other rock formations. From this rock we were able to see the second entrance in the distance. Following the secondary, overgrown trail, we came across an interesting bright blue desert spider beetle, in a way letting us know we were on the right path. The KJV translates H2728 as beetle, and its root word, H2727, means to shake from fear, tremble, or quake. The second gate is merely a barb-wire fence with wooden posts. Upon entering the gate a beautiful Ferruginous Hawk began to circle us, getting closer with each pass. It seemed the God of the universe had sent an amazing welcome as we set foot on Hidden Mountain. Job 39:26 “Does the hawk fly by your wisdom, and stretch her wings toward the south?” The small path leading up the mountain is full of large rock flakes, and we had to carefully walk up the path. Almost immediately over the first rise, the Decalogue Stone comes into view. It is a large boulder of over 80 tons, and the flat surface with the inscription is clearly visible from a distance. Almost immediately my phone began to ring, and a wide grin spread across my face as I wondered who would be the first person to learn about my discovery. As I answered the phone, my wife asked, “Did you find it yet?” I am grateful that I was able to share that special moment with my wife.

The first thing you notice about the Decalogue Stone is the skillful, steady hand that was required to perform the inscription in the stone. I had brought along a translation and compared it to the stone. I could clearly read the inscription and was able to make out the Paleo-Hebrew words. In front of this stone is large, flat, platform-like rock. It seems to be a perfect place to address a large crowd. I tried this out by sounding off in my loudest drill instructor voice. My voice boomed and resonated around the mountain. I tried this out several times during the ascent and even received a response from a gentleman who was in the valley below on the opposite side of the mountain. This location could definitely be used to address a large assembly around the mountain. The other curious thing about the Decalogue Stone was the butterflies that kept circling around the platform area.
On the ascent we would stop at each large flat rock and look for anything interesting. There were hundreds of glyphs all around the mountain, drawings of strange creatures and strange beings. Unfortunately, there was also quite a bit of vandalism on the rocks. There was also a pair of large birds (possibly turkey vultures) who began to circle us on the ascent. These birds also circled the southern summit, leading us in that direction. Job 28:7 “There is a path which no fowl knoweth, and which the vulture’s eye has not seen.” (vulture, H344, from the root H337, woe). Climbing up to the summit we noticed several dug out observations posts. These were facing the eastern horizon, with a clear view of the dry Rio Puerco (Pork River, or Dirty River, Unclean).
When we finally reached the south summit, the YHVH Stone was clearly visible. The stone stood by itself directly on the peak. The stone was inscribed with the words “YHVH Eloheynu” in Paleo-Hebrew. There was also some vandalism to this stone as well. The stone was positioned so that whoever reads the inscription would be facing east, towards the Temple Mount. As we approached the stone a horned lizard crawled out from under, another witness to our arrival. The stone also had some interesting properties. The compass we were using began to orient abnormally the closer we put it to the stone. When the compass was put directly on the YHVH Stone, the compass indicated north was in the eastern horizon. Several attempts brought the same result.

It also appeared that US government had attempted to install a geodetic marker on the YHVH Stone. The evidence of a broken off marker post was visible in the stone. Several feet away was a successful marker installed on another rock in 1958. 1 Kings 6:7 “the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready before it was brought there, so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.”
The last stone to be found was the Star Map. This was located on the northern summit. Once again, as I approached the stone, a mouse came scurrying out (H5909, akbar). It became painfully obvious that Our Father was using His creation to signal each find on this expedition. The main glyph on the Star Map is the Yah Glyph, a picture of the sun and the moon in conjunction. Polaris, Bootes, Ursa Major, and Ursa Minor were also visible. Gen 1:14 “Then God said, Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years.”
As the eclipse began, the butterflies began to dance around the YHVH Stone. Using a welder’s mask, we were able to view the eclipse periodically. Soon, a curious shadow began to form. During the eclipse, Hidden Mountain cast a shadow on the dry River Puerco below. The shadow formed a cup that traced its way along the dry riverbed. There were two unusually perfect circles visible in the dry riverbed as well. At the start of the eclipse the bottom left circle was perfectly cupped by the mountain’s shadow. At the end of the eclipse the top right circle was perfectly cupped by the mountain’s shadow. I then realized that the two circles formed a mirror image of the start and end of the eclipse. The moon entered the sun at the bottom right corner, and exited the top left corner. This was the exact same image in the Rio Puerco. Makes you wonder what is in that riverbed? Is 43:19 “Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.”
It is difficult to describe the events that lead me to visiting Hidden Mountain. Doubts and stumbling blocks were placed in front of me during the planning of this trip. I am still not sure what the meaning or end result of this trip will be. Of this I am sure, the LORD your God, who brought you out the land of Egypt, used all His creation that day to witness to His people; to show that His word endures and declares His glory. As the beloved apostle John tells us: John 9:4 “As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.” Time to get to work! Luke 15:6-7 “Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost! I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.” Psalm 19:1-6, 14 “The heavens are telling of the glory of God; and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands. Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words; their voice is not heard. Their line has gone out through all the earth, and their utterances to the end of the world. In them He has placed a tent for the sun, which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber; it rejoices as a strong man to run his course.
