I'll try to locate a better article, but the original spread clearly airbrushed the family bookshelves.
 
Edit: this shows the photo, although I'd bet it isn't photoshopped to make it appear there are lots of books,
 more like concealing lots of books normal Americans wouldn't display. Careless editing.
