| War Coming Soon? Psalm 83?Posted by lamarzulli on May 20, 2014Commentary & AnalysisbyL. A. MarzulliHead of political-military affairs at Defense Ministry, Amos Gilad, warns of storm clouds “on the horizon,” says Israel has not been able to stop build up of Hezbollah’s rocket arsenal.http://www.jpost.com/Defense/Israeli-defense-official-Iran-can-break-out-to-nuclear-weapons-very-quickly-352745…Iran has overseen the construction of Hezbollah’s arsenal of 100,000 rockets, and spent billions of dollars to build up Hezbollah’s firepower, which threatens all of Israel’s territory.Hezbollah controls Lebanon. The Israeli’s invaded Lebanon in 2006 and pushed Hezbollah out of their bunkers and front line positions. However, that was 8 years ago and Hezbollah has been built back up again by the Iranians.Lebanon is a key component in the Shia crescent, the loose confederacy between Iran, Syria and Lebanon. This Shia crescent threatens not only Israel but also Saudi Arabia, as the Iranians want the “holy” cities of Mecca and Medina. However the Iranians, Hezbollah and Syria’s Assad are unified in their hatred of Israel. At some point war is going to break out. The question for us a students of prophecy is this, is this war the Psalm 83 war, that my friend Bill Salus has written about, or a precursor to it? Only time will tell.Since the Arab Spring the Middle East has become increasingly unstable. Iraq is mired in a constant milieu of suicide bombers making it unsafe even in Baghdad. Egypt has seen the Muslim Brotherhood come and go and we await the coming elections to see what they will bring to that country. In Syria the bloody civil war continues with no sign of Bashar Al Assad abdicating his position.Iran continues to move toward acquiring nuclear capability. At some point with Hezbollah having over 100,000 rockets, war will break out. There will be a flash point and the rockets be launched against Israel. If Iran has the bomb, it will be a game changer in the Middle East.In closing todays post: Israel is watching the Iranians nuclear progress. They attacked the Iraqi reactor when Saddam was ruling that country, so there is a precedent for a pre-emptive strike.http://scholarlycommons.law.northwestern.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1075&context=facultyworkingpapersAs students of Biblical Prophecy we watch with keen interest the events in the Middle East with our eyes on Israel. What was written will come to pass. What was foretold will unfold.http://lamarzulli.wordpress.com/ |
