Space weather reporting a new name for my already named "CHEM TRAIL RAINBOWS"

Oh yeah those scientific types act like we've always had these and that they already had a name.

What B.S.!

SUMMER SUN HALO:[/color][/b] Around the northern hemisphere, sky watchers are starting to report a rainbow-colored sun halo that appears almost-exclusively during summer: the circumhorizon arc. "I saw one on June 13th. It was very bright," says Michail Anastasio, who snapped this picture from the cockpit of a plane flying 20,000 feet over Singapore:

Nicknamed the "fire rainbow" because of its fiery rainbow colors, this apparition in fact has nothing to do with either fire or rainbows. It is caused by sunlight refracting through plate-shaped ice crystals in cirrus clouds. The http://www.atoptics.co.uk/halo/chaform.htm geometry of the refraction requires that the sun be high in the sky , which explains why this is a summertime phenomenon.

June and July are the best months to see circumhorizon arcs. Look for them circling the horizon sometimes in patches, sometimes not, always brightly decorated with pure and well separated prismatic colors. You'll know it when you see it. More examples may be found in the realtimme photo gallery:

HERE IS ANOTHER... SEE THE CLOUDS SHOW THEIR CHEMICAL MAKE UP????
A spectrometer can tell what is in it.

Summertime Halo: A colourful circumhorizon arc[/b] spans the sky near Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. The halo lights brightest where the cirrus is thickest. Note the enormous size of the halo and its pure spectral colours. Imaged by Marc Sorensen in the summer of 2003. Image ©️Marc Sorensen, shown with permission.

Look for the brightly coloured circumhorizon arc (also a circumhorizontal arc but never http://www.atoptics.co.uk/halo/cha2.htm#fire fire rainbow when the sun is very high in the sky - higher than 58°.   Near to noon in mid summer is a good time in middle latitudes. The halo is beneath the sun and twice as far from it two http://www.atoptics.co.uk/halo/p1.htm as the http://www.atoptics.co.uk/halo/circular.htm

It is a very large halo and always parallel to the horizon. Often only fragments are visible where there happen to be cirrus clouds - the individual patches of cirrus are then lit with colour that can be mistaken for http://www.atoptics.co.uk/droplets/irid1.htm iridescence.

High sun infralateral arcs occupy a similar position in the sky. The infralateral arc curves upwards from the horizon slightly and this is best checked for visually because lens distortions invariably also show the circumhorizon arc as curved.

The rarity, or otherwise, of the arc depends on where you are. At medium latitudes like much of the USA it is notrare - it can be seen several times each summer. In contrast, further north in much of Europe the circumhorizon arc is a rarity and impossible to see north of Copenhagen. See the charts in http://www.atoptics.co.uk/halo/chafreq.htm How rare? for the visibility at your location.

'Fire rainbow' - This unrecognised name appears to have been coined by a journalist after the great 2006 Spokane display. The halo is not a rainbow and has nothing to do with fire.

NOTICE THESE APPEAR AFTER CHEM TRAILS STARTED, NAME NOT USED BEFORE.
