I was just listening to JD's Sunday prophecy update:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vvs4K-jFzSw#t=1752
and he recounted a situation where the 'affairs of the world' threatened to derail a desire of his heart, ie: a trip to Israel.
But as he bemoaned the thought of not be able to take his trip with his congregation, the Lord spoke and said to him, "Why not?"
Then there's me; not a preacher, and having no such noble a goal as taking a congregation to Israel, yet denied 'permission' it seemed to accomplish something important to me, and the Lord spoke: "Why not?"
I almost started to tell Him why not, but He must have zipped my lip,and I quickly got on the same page.
Looking back, there were aspects of meeting those desires that I labored through. DUMB! DUMB! Totally NOT necessary.
So many thoughts come to mind in remembering that day. We are the head and not the tail. To say that God is 'well-able', doesn't even begin to acknowledge the Truth of God of ALL Power and Authority! If He has said a thing, that settles it, whether it is written to us or spoken.
What has He said in His Word that we still struggle for?
How much do we still look upon ourselves and our own understanding to have or needs and our desires met? Is that the innocent trust of a child?
I also heard Perry Stone I think it was, make a good point about the day we live in. He said, paraphrased, that many claim that America is under God's Judgment. This cannot be, he said, because we are still under the Dispensation of Grace! A-ha!
Me talking now...we see satan moving chess pieces, for sure,As God allows, for His purposes only. So there's the defeated foe thinking he's really doing something. But NOPE!
Anyway, Praise God from whom all Blessings flow. I'm putting "Why not?" on my wall to set my thinking straight. (And there are certainly things He will not grant.)
Another Word He spoke to me once, while I was wanting the unwavering faith for a miracle He'd already said 'yes' to, was "It will be as I say it is".
The Power in that Word was 'indisputable', is the best way I can describe it. And He is no respecter of persons, we know. I'm just speaking to give evidence of faith
and to give Him all the credit.
Beyond knowledge and beyond understanding, I hope for 'effortless' faith.
The kind of faith that is so surrendered that Peace cannot be challenged, that the Joy of the River of Living Water is never overshadowed, that my coming and goings are all according to His Will as it is prayerfully He Himself who ordains it all.
And that we don't mistakenly deny ourselves All His blessings for His children, whom He so Loves and is wanting to care for.
I want to know the thoughts of God. Everything else is just details.
A Miracle is when God makes His Reality our Experience
