ERBIL, Iraq – The last Christian reportedly left Iraq’s second largest city of Mosul at 12:00pm on Saturday, ending over 6,000 years of Assyrian history in the city. Assyrians have lived in Mosul for over 6,000 years, converting to Christianity over 2,000 years ago. This all came to an end on Saturday, when the last Assyrian Christian left the city.
Since the U.S. invasion in 2003, over 1 million Christians have been exiled from Iraq, leaving only around 300,000 left in the country.
There are about 1.2 Billion Muslims in the world. Most of them are not radicalized but if only 1% of them are—and according to statistics it’s closer to 5%—that would mean 100 MILLION are sold out on JIHAD, or Holy War.
Most of our weasels-in-the-stream media haven’t covered this story, but the brutality of ISIL, (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) and their ideology speaks for itself. They are demanding a Sharia state in the territory they have recently gained control of, and those who are not Islamic must either convert to Islam, pay the special tax, or die. Thus, many are choosing to leave the country altogether. This exodus ends the almost 200o year-old Christian presence in Mosul, Iraq. Iran, once had a strong Christian community, but that too is mostly gone as less than 1% of the Iranian population is Christian.
ISIL is waging a war against the Christian minority in Mosul and other places it occupies.
The ISIL Takfiri militants recently started marking houses belonging to the Christian community and issued a statement which told them to convert, pay a special tax, leave the city, or face death by noon on Saturday.
One comment from the article above that I linked to, stated that this is the first time in history Mosul is without a Christian population.
ISIL is nothing new. In reality it is another repackaging to the Taliban, Al Qaeda, HAMAS, and other radical Islamic groups. These thugs roll into town, demand Sharia law, and kill anyone who opposes them. However, when the dust settles and eventually it will, ISIL like HAMAS will actually have to rule. They will have to go about the business of governing and looking after the people, and frankly, I don’t believe they have any idea of how to do this.
In closing todays post. Like it or not Radical Islam is here to stay and it’s already here in the US, as demonstrated by the link on yesterdays BLOG. Radical Islam is intolerant of anything but Sharia law. The ideology is such, that killing the infidel is permissible and actually applauded. Check the link out.
