• City Tavern in Silver Spring Township, PA, hosted the Founding Fathers
  
• It was one of their favorite pubs and they had seminal talks there
  
• But town officials did not know this and granted a demolition permit
  
• Local historians alerted them during the demolition, work was halted

For better or for worse, America has changed quite a bit since the Founding Fathers drew up the Bill of Rights.
Many wonder what they would think of modern day politics.
But one thing is clear: they would not be happy with the news that one of their favorite pubs the City Tavern has been partially demolished by accident.  
It was in this cozy watering hole built in 1780 that Adams, Washington et al had seminal discussions before finally drawing up the Bill of Rights.
