Not that Zohar wasn't smart but there are some interesting syncs surrounding that name. Use your own discernment on this one.
A man from the house of Ashur, Bela went from the land of Ninevah and came opposite the cities of the plain against Sodom. His city was called Bela, that is the land of Zoar to this day.

Belus is the father of Danaus and Aegyptus, the son of Libya and Poseidon. His brother was Agenor. Belus remained in Egypt and reigned, Agenor became King of Tyrsu and founder of Sidon. The Phoenician name for Agenor was Chnas or Khna - probably Phoenix. He is supposed to have introduced the Phoenician alphabet, which was later taught by Cadmus (son of Phoenix) to the Greeks.

Hanuman - is one whose pride was destroyed.
It’s also possible he is Bellerophon, the tamer and rider of Pegasus.
