| ISIL – Update!Posted by lamarzulli on October 10, 2014Commentary & AnalysisbyL. A. Marzulli Kobani is 40% Taken by ISIL.IS forces have made new gains in Kobani, now controlling at least 40 percent of the Syrian town. They have seized the Kurd headquarters, a monitoring group said.“They have taken at least 40 percent (of the town),” Rami Abdulrahman, who runs the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said by telephone as reported by Reuters.http://rt.com/news/194856-isis-kobani-syria-turkey/ Islamic State fighters are threatening to overrun Iraq’s Anbar provinceBAGHDAD — Islamic State militants are threatening to overrun a key province in western Iraq in what would be a major victory for the jihadists and an embarrassing setback for the U.S.-led coalition targeting the group.http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/middle_east/islamic-state-fighters-are-threatening-to-overrun-iraqs-anbar-province/2014/10/09/34b302f0-84e4-4d73-b220-2d91161363e5_story.htmlWhile the media is hyping the deaths caused by the Ebola virus, ISIL—The Islamic State of Syria, Iraq and the Levant—continues it’s lightning war—Blitzkreig—throughout the Middle East.Ebola is serious and as I commented last night on Acceleration Radio, the disease has claimed over 3500 lives. However, when compared to the ongoing war in Syria the death toll is over 250,00 people. In Iraq, thousands have been slaughtered by ISIL and the radical group is gaining even more territory and may be threatening Baghdad, Iraq’s capital. Here’s the Map again! The bottom line is this. ISIL is NOT being stopped. The plan put forth by Obama is failing and resulting in more beheadings.I’m focused on this because I believe the Ebola contagion is a red herring. While it is serious and people are dying, ISIL’s taking over Iraq is a game changer for the region and might lead to WWIII.What happens to oil prices if ISIL gains control of Iraq? What happens to Jordan and King Abdullah, as ISIL has already declared they want his head?Does ISIL go after the real prize, which is Al Quds, or Jerusalem? The only way to stop ISIL’s advancement is with a military option and that will involve boots on the ground from some military force. Obama, who was awarded the nobel peace prize—go figure—seems reluctant to send in troops to stop ISIL, but he’s using our military to stop the spread of Ebola? What? http://www.mediaite.com/online/donald-trump-and-others-blast-obama-on-ebola-why-are-you-sending-troops/He’s missing the point and in my opinion, unless ISIL is stopped militarily the raping of women, slaughter of Christians, and the beheadings of anyone who differs from their radical beliefs will continue. In closing todays post. My eyes are on the Middle East and the advance of ISIL. ISIL poses a real threat to Jordan and then Israel. Remember their original name was ISIL, the Islamic State of Syria, Iraq and the Levant, which includes Israel. The prize is control of Jerusalem and that will never happen, as the Israeli’s will act to prevent this from becoming a reality. In the meantime I’m sure Netanyahu has three of four plans ready to be employed should ISIL come knocking on his door. I believe the next country to be targeted will be Jordan. It’s heating up… What will the King do?http://lamarzulli.wordpress.com/
