TRUNEWS | March 12, 2015

Israeli intel website Debkafile is reporting that unconfirmed rumors circulating out of Russia claim that Russian President Vladimir Putin died suddenly.  No official announcement has been made in Moscow that Mr. Putin is dead.  Debka claims a death announcement appeared briefly on Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev’s website early today….but disappeared 20 minutes later.  The Russian President was scheduled to visit Kazakhstan yesterday for meetings with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Belarus leader Alexander Lukashenko, but failed to arrive. An official in Kazakhstan told reporters that Mr. Putin had fallen ill. The 62-year-old Russian President also did not appear at an annual meeting of high-ranking officers from Russia’s Federal Security Service – the successor to the KGB.  London newspapers are reporting that Mr. Putin has not been seen in public since March 6.  A Kremlin spokesman dismissed the rumors.

Is President Vladimir Putin Dead? The Internet Certainly Thinks So

Russia’s internet is abuzz with rumour: President Vladimir Putin has not been seen for eight days. Heart attack? Cancer? Is their controversial leader actually dead? His press secretary Dmitry Peskov asserts: “There is no reason to worry … everything is fine”. But it seems official statements out of the Kremlin carry little currency. “Putin Umer”

Mystery of Vladimir Putin's Disappearance Deepens with Russian State Media 'Mistake'

Published on Mar 14, 2015

http://www.undergroundworldnews.com

The mystery over the whereabouts of Vladimir Putin deepened on Saturday as Russian state media broadcast – then retracted – reports that he had hosted an official visit from the President of Kyrgyzstan.

Mr Putin has remained hidden from public view for nine days. Levels of fear and uncertainty in Moscow have been rising as rumours fly over what could be behind Putin’s lengthy disappearance.

The Kremlin has repeatedly denied that there is anything amiss with the Russian leader, batting away suggestions that he is ill, dead, victim of a palace coup or in Switzerland to be by his girlfriend’s side as she gives birth.

Mr Putin’s next public appearance is scheduled for Monday, when he is due to meet Almazbek Atambayev, the President of Kyrgyzstan, in Saint Petersburg.

But that encounter was thrown into confusion on Friday night as announcers on state television, apparently reading from an incorrect script, described the meeting in the past tense.

Vladimir Putin has appeared on television for the first time in a week amid health fears and suggestions that he is being subject to a coup, while rumours persist that his 31-year-old 'girlfriend' is about to give birth.

Putin, 62, had cancelled several planned meetings during the week leading to speculation over his health and even claims that he was fighting to retain his position.

Channel NTV showed footage of Putin meeting with supreme court president Vyacheslav Lebedev, which it claims was shot on Friday.

According to Putin's staff, he was discussing judicial reform and the likely increase in the number of bankruptcies as as result of Russia's economic collapse.

Putin is due to meet with the president of Kyrgyzstan in St Petersburg on Monday according to the Kremlin.

The Russian president was last seen in public on March 5.

For the past week, the Russian government has been reluctantly answering questions about Putin's health and suggestions that his unofficial girlfriend Alina Kabayeva had checked into a Swiss maternity clinic.

Rumours about 31-year-old Alina Kabayeva surfaced with reports in Switzerland, Italy and Russia suggesting the gymnast had either given birth or was about to do so.

It comes amid increased speculation over what has happened to Putin with the Russian leader not having been seen for a week.

Unconfirmed rumor: Vladimir Putin is dead 00F68E7F00000578-2972617-image-m-13_1425068635269

Alluring: Many Russians consider Alina Kabayeva the country's undeclared First Lady

The claims focused on an elite clinic in Lugano, in the Italian region of the neutral country, with some accounts saying she had a new daughter.

Putin's spokesman - who has never confirmed a relationship between the 62 year old strongman and the Olympic gold-medal winner - insisted: 'Information about the birth of Vladimir Putin's child does not correspond to reality.'

The Russian embassy in Kiev refused to comment on a report on the speculation in newspaper Blick.

Russian Tatler yesterday repeated gossip that Kabayeva has two children already by Putin but adds there is no official confirmation.

Kabayeva has been largely out of sight since quitting as an MP in Putin's United Russia party last September, when she took over as head of a major media conglomerate.

Meanwhile, the Kremlin today issued a new picture showing Putin meeting the chairman of the Supreme Court Vyacheslav Lebedev at his out-of-Moscow residence Novo-Ogaryovo.

The image was meant to scotch suggestions that Putin was not at work amid speculation over a coup or illness.

However, there were immediate claims the picture and TV footage was old, and that it was further evidence of his mystery absence.

Current rumours in Moscow include Putin suffering a stroke, or an unfolding palace coup, following his sudden cancellation of a scheduled trip to Kazakhstan.

With Moscow in febrile mood, a former senior aide to the strongman claimed another ex-KGB spy is being urgently lined up to take over from him.

The theory suggests the Kremlin's chief of staff Sergei Ivanov - a former defence minister - will become prime minister in place of the lacklustre Dmitry Medvedev.

After this switch, dubbed a 'conspiracy of generals', Putin - currently the subject of swirling rumours over his health after not being seen in public for more than a week - would be swiftly ousted.

Under the Russian constitution, in the event of a president leaving office, the prime minister replaces him in an acting role pending elections.

This latest forecast of an imminent sea change in Russian politics came from Andrei Illarionov, Putin's former chief economics aide, who last year predicted Putin's land grab against Ukraine three weeks before it happened.

While the Kremlin insists Putin is healthy and in full control of his government, Illarionov claimed: 'In the next few days we should expect the resignation of prime minister Dmitry Medvedev, and Sergei Ivanov being appointed in his place.'

After this, 'the public is likely to be informed that the national leader (Putin) needs a well deserved rest'.

It has been claimed Russia's former defence minister Sergei Ivanov (pictured) will become prime minister in place of the lacklustre Dmitry Medvedev

Observers note that in recent days, Ivanov - who retained the military rank of colonel general and whose eldest son was killed in a mysterious drowning accident in Dubai last November - has been little seen in public.

And Medvedev, who served as president for four years to 2012, is also out of the limelight.

Some Kremlin-watchers say that Western sanctions have created huge tensions inside Putin's fractious entourage in recent weeks, with cash streams closed off.

The murder of opposition leader Boris Nemtsov - branded a 'provocation' by Putin - has only intensified the infighting with blame for his slaying blamed on the president's close allies in Chechnya.

Illarionov, a senior follow at the Cato Institute in Washington, earlier alleged a cover-up by the Russian authorities over Nemtsov's shooting yards from the Kremlin.

Putin is said by his spokesman Dmitry Peskov to be 'exhaustively' working on documents but has - most unusually - not been seen publicly since 5 March, more than a week.

The Kremlin insists he is healthy, but this has done nothing to end speculation from Russians who for years were lied to over the health of geriatric Soviet leaders, and also Putin's predecessor Boris Yeltsin.

'Peskov's assertion that Putin is in good health, however, could also mean recent developments in Russian politics required Putin's presence in Moscow,' stated The Moscow Times today.

'A heightening of the conflict in eastern Ukraine and the murder of opposition politician Boris Nemtsov, the investigation into whose death was reportedly accompanied by signs of an increased power struggle within the Russian administration, could have kept Putin busy behind closed doors.'

In December, Putin brushed aside claims he could be overthrown.
'I can assure you that we don't have palaces, so a palace coup isn't really possible. The official presidential residence is the Kremlin. It is well protected,' he said.

Ivanov, at 62 the same age as Putin, was a career KGB who studied English in Ealing during the Cold War.

He is wooden in his public appearances and lacks Putin's common touch with ordinary Russians.

Radical 'Forces Of A Big Blood' To Take Over Russia As Putin Coup Rumors Fly Wildly! Expert On Russia: 'Pray For Us All'

Unconfirmed rumor: Vladimir Putin is dead 11bbv     Unconfirmed rumor: Vladimir Putin is dead Tweet3

By Stefan Stanford - All News Pipeline - Live Free Or Die
In this story from Ukraine's Mirror Weekly we learn that according to former Russian presidential adviser Andrey Illarionov, Vladimir Putin will be removed from power within the next few days when his resignation is announced and power is taken over by a group ofmilitary officers and security forces that have been named "the forces of a big blood". According to this new piece from The Blaze and Russia watchers Michael Caputo and Tom Nichols, Russia is in the middle of a coup, and if hard-liners win, Russian nukes could wind up pointed at the world’s major cities.

“One thing is for sure: while this plays out, the world is in far more danger than we were in February,” writes Caputo. “Pray for us all.”

We learn here that Putin has lost both financial and military support and that this 'conspiracy' also involves not only army officers but members of Russian intelligence agencies as well. A series of tweets sent out by international economics expert Anders Aslund andHudson @TweetsFromHere seem to back up these claims of a major power struggle now taking place within the Kremlin include one warning it 'could be bloody'. While Hudson's tweet seems to proclaim that a coup with Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu taking over for Putin would allow relations with the west to be restored, most other sources feel the exact opposite and that a Shoygu coup would be devastating as the US prepares to launch brand new military drills in the Ukraine.

With rumors flowing out of Moscow that high-ranking Russian government officials are now being taken underground, the obvious World War 3 implications of an even more radical group taking power at the Kremlin and the belief that Russia's 'dead hand' system is active and ready to be used against the northern hemisphere, will whoever is in charge in Russia soon dot the horizons with mushroom clouds and draw 'big blood' from the west while sending the entire world into a nuclear holocaust? Let's all hope that our leaders here in America and Russia's leaders at the Kremlin are much more wise than most of us give them credit for.

Several video reports on these breaking news events are below.

A sudden and mysterious disappearance of Vladimir Putin gave rise to many rumors and versions. Former presidential adviser, Andrey Illarionov reports that in a few days it will be announced about the resignation of Vladimir Putin and the power will be taken by a group of officers and security forces led by the head of the presidential administration Sergey Ivanov.

Illarionov admits that the security forces might come to power after the possible removal of Vladimir Putin and his clique.

The expert makes the conclusion by saying that the financial and military support is being lost by the Russian President.

Putin's disappearance raises questions of not only about his whereabouts, but about his condition, says Illarionov. He also believes that the Prime Minister Dmitriy Medvedev will be changed by Mr Ivanov. After that, it will be announced about Putin's resignation.

According to the former adviser, it is possible that the conspiracy involves not only army generals but also intelligence agencies of the Russian Federation.

Illarionov hints in his analysis that the changes might bring to power even more radical forces, by naming them the forces of a "big blood."

Putin deposed in Russian coup?, Israeli former ambassador to Russia signs of coup, Stroke health issues dead?, Security chief general Viktor Zolotov killed?, Putin not seen in public in 10 days
From Haaretz March 15, 2015.

“Israel’s former ambassador to Russia: ‘There are signs of a coup’
Zvi Magen believes army factions or wealthy businessmen could be behind President Vladimir Putin’s disappearance.”

“Russian President Vladimir Putin was last seen in public on March 5, and in Russia there are increased fears he is the victim of an attempted coup by security organizations and the Russian army.

Israel’s former ambassador to Russia, Zvi Magen, told Haaretz he believes “there are many signs of a coup. The movement of the army around the Kremlin indicates that there is a change in government, or that an attempt at a change in government is being carried out.”

Magen believes those responsible for the potential coup are “branches or factions in the army who are working together or against one another, or wealthy businessmen, many of whom worked in these organizations. They could only be people who are free to walk around the corridors of the Kremlin.”

He says possible reasons include the ongoing sanctions imposed by the West on those close to the Kremlin, sanctions “that harm them personally. I don’t believe there’s a controversy there surrounding policy. They’re protecting their own interests.””

From the Russian Monitor March 11, 2015.
(translated into English)
“Putin stroke?”

“Mail “Russian Monitor” received a letter signed by an anonymous employee of the Central Clinical Hospital of President Administration (CDB) in Moscow, in which he reported that the staff of this elite Moscow hospital to which “attributed to” the top management of the Russian Federation, circulate rumors that Vladimir Putin a few days ago was diagnosed with ischemic stroke. The source said that directly to the CDB President not hospitalized.”

http://rusmonitor.com/u-putina-insult.html

From Radio Free Europe March 15, 2015.

“News Analysis: Three Scenarios For A Succession In Russia”
“For a decade and a half, Vladimir Putin has sat at the top of a closed, hierarchical, and personality-based political system that allows for no competition.

As a result, opinion polls in Russia routinely show the public sees “no alternative” to Putin’s leadership.

So what would happen in Russia if Putin suddenly and without warning left the political stage? Over the last few days, we have seen the anxiety that even the rumor of such an event can produce in Russia and around the world. If Putin is the guarantor of stability in Russia, then does a scenario without Putin automatically imply instability — even violent instability?”

“The Constitutional Scenario”

“So if Putin unexpectedly left the scene and the constitution were followed to the letter, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev would return to the Kremlin and a competitive election would take place in three months.”

“The Consensus Scenario

Of course, such a smooth and legal transition of power is unlikely in Russia.

In Soviet times, political heavyweights wrestled behind the scenes until a successor emerged through some unfathomable communist alchemy.

More recently, when President Boris Yeltsin decided to retire, political insiders reached a consensus and produced the unimaginable candidacy of Vladimir Putin as his successor. They then used a combination of their financial, administrative, and media resources to get him elected.”

“The Conflict Scenario

But what if consensus can’t be reached?

Under Putin, the political system has become more personalized and centered around the president himself, who has balanced conflicting parties. And he has almost certainly stifled all discussion of what could or should happen in a post-Putin era.

But the divisions in Putin’s inner circle, always latent, have become more manifest with the Ukraine crisis and have intensified since the February 27 assassination of opposition figure Boris Nemtsov.

“Now the conflict between the clans has become very seriously intense,” says journalist and analyst Raf Shakirov. “It is obvious that different groups are pushing for different paths.”

The main fault line, he says, is between “hawks” who have become ascendant due to the Ukraine crisis and Russia’s showdown with the West and a “liberal group” responsible for the economy who would prefer a thaw at home and a rapprochement abroad.”

Very sane and common sense reasons listed here.  Given Putin’s popularity though, I don’t see how that is possible.  Putin has brought Russia back from it’s knees.  Putin has brought Russia out of the sphere of the West and back into it’s own ‘orbit’.  The Russian military can’t possibly have anything but loyalty to this guy.

What was Putin doing during those missing 11 days? Now, sources are reporting that Viktor Zolotov, Putin’s Chief Bodyguard and first Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs may be dead. What the heck is happening?

I am not familiar with the web site "your news wire" so as always - DISCERN!!!

Quote :

Putin’s Chief Bodyguard Killed

Sources in Moscow are reporting on the death of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s personal chief bodyguard, General Viktor Zolotov. Ukraine journalist Alex Mochanov has also confirmed the rumours.

Uapress.info reports:

According to some information Russian President Vladimir Putin was going to appoint General Viktor Zolotov as head of the FSB. However, this did not happen because the Russian President was absent.

Between 2000-2013 Colonel-General Viktor Zolotov worked as head of the Security Service of the President of the Russian Federation. And in 2014 became the first Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs – Chief of the troops of the Russian Interior Ministry.

We will update you on this story as we get more information.

And this just in . . .

Putin Putin, where was Putin? Joseph Farrell offers some high octane speculation...  The title says March 19 (two days from now) but is really the 17th unless Mr. Farrell has a nifty little time machine tucked away someplace.  Laughing  Nice gadget to have around if you play the lottery. Getting serious again, Mr. Farrell makes some valid dynamite points so this is worth hearing.

Unconfirmed rumor: Vladimir Putin is dead Ukraine-rumors-of-war1

Many in the independent media are proclaiming that a massive coup, which includes security personnel, top military leaders and top Russian businessmen, led by Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu is intent on removing Putin and restoring relations with the West. I wish these reports were accurate, but the recent course of actions strongly suggest that the opposite is in fact true.

Will a Russian Coup Lead to a Russia Civil War?

According to ZN,UA, a Ukrainian publication, former Russian presidential adviser Andrey Illarionov has stated Vladimir Putin will be removed from power within the next few days and the forces of a “big blood” are poised to take over Russia. The forces of big blood are a group of hardliners who will undoubtedly push the world to the brink of World War III and beyond when they assume full power.

As I write these words, there are reports that Russian government and key business figures are being taken to underground facilities. Does this mean that World War III is days away? It could, but not necessarily. This could be nothing more than blustering and posturing on the part of the Russians. However, blustering is not normally accompanied by a coup and that is what we are witnessing in Russia.

Removing the Popular Putin Is Not a Simple Task

There are complications in carrying out the coup. Putin is enormously popular among the Russian people. Subsequently, a bigger picture looms; Will the Russian people support such a coup? More importantly, many of those who are reporting on this issue are overlooking this fact as well as the popularity that Putin enjoys in some circles of the Russian intelligence community as well as in certain parts of the military. Putin’s removal from power is a prescription for civil war because of his popularity. And because of the role that Ukraine and some of the former outlying Soviet states play in the formation of the emerging Eurasian Union, a Russian civil war would spill over to Asia and Europe and ultimately lead to World War III. If a country was ever in need of a false flag, the Russian hardliners could use one right now. This would go a long way towards securing the popular support that this coup will ultimately require. One piece of speculation has Putin being assassinated and forces connected to Western interests are implicated. Thus, the world would have its Archduke Francis Ferdinand moment.

The Facts Don’t Support a Peaceful Resolution

Putin disappears for 1o days, he returns, appearing to have gained 20 pounds in water weight, NOT looking like himself and has done nothing but engage in a series of military drills designed to antagonize the West. In actuality, the military antagonism of the West was the byproduct of whoever was running Russia during the Putin disappearance.

The speculation that Russian Defense Minister, Sergey Shoygu, has rescued Russia from Putin’s warlike tendencies and plans to restore relations with the West when the coup is complete is not supported by the recent facts

Since Putin Disappeared from March 5th-March 15th Russia Has Been In War Mode

Since when does a Defense Minister increase war preparedness drills in preparation for negotiating peace with his enemies? The notion that Russia is moving toward a position of negotiation, conciliation and peace is laughable given the following chain of events.

The following is a small sample size of the Russian war preparations which transpired during Putin’s disappearance.

The Russian Northern Fleet was brought to full combat alert at 8:00 a.m. Moscow time (05:00 GMT), on March 16, 2015. The alert included 38,000 military personnel, 3,360 pieces of equipment, 41 ships, 15 submarines, and a total of 110 airplanes and helicopters. The exercises, which will be run on land, sea and air and will subsequently conclude in five days. The mission is to provide support for existing Russian military forces in the Arctic.

Various units of Russia’s signals troops began a massive large-scale communications field exercises in nine regions of the Eastern Military District.

Russian public relations representatives stated, “The drills envision the use of advanced relay broadcast stations, mobile video-conferencing systems, modern radio stations and satellite communications that were put in service with the Eastern Military District in 2014-2015.” The purpose of this drill would be to coordinate aircraft, mobile forces and troops movements.

On March 12, Eastern Military District press head Col. Alexander Gordeyev said that a military exercise involving anti-air defense troops started in the region. Why would Russia be simultaneously practicing offense and defensive maneuvers in the same region? Smart money says that Russia plans to attack Lithuania and it is clear from these Eastern Region drills, Russia expects NATO to retaliate by air.

THESE ARE OMINOUS SIGNS THAT THE RUSSIANS BELIEVE THAT WW III IS INEVITABLE!

In alliance reminiscent of World War I, “Air Force officials from Russia and Serbia agreed at a planning conference in the Russian Defense Ministry on March 12 to carry out joint tactical drills in September this year,” stated spokesman Col. Igor Klimov. Klimov further added that both Serbian and Russian pilots will work to intercept air targets while Mi-8 military transport and combat helicopters will work on tactical landings, covering ground units from the air while firing missiles at ground targets at the site.

In the never-ending series of military exercises with live firing drills, this past Wednesday, March 11, in Russia’s southern and western regions and in the Far East, the Defense Ministry held a drill in which 30 sorties with live firing of missiles and rockets were held in the Stavropol territory.

Russian army artillery personnel in the Southern Military District began scheduled drills using new Hosta and Tornado-G systems. Over 8,000 Russian army artillery personnel began exercises in Crimea, South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Armenia as well as other areas on Thursday, March 12th.

“NATO jets scrambled out of Lithuania to intercept 11 Russian warplanes flying with their transponders veered off over the Baltic Sea”.

According to powerful and influential member of the Russian Oligarchy, the owner of the ‘Alpha Bank’s‘ Oleg Sysoyev, has stated that pro-war elements are gaining power at the Kremlin.

A tweet, listed below, indicates that Shoigu launched a surprise inspection key Russian troops and equipment with regard to the war readiness of nearly 80,000 Russian troops.

On March 14th, Venezuela and tens of thousands of Russian troops staged a military exercise to counter an alleged U.S. threat, deploying soldiers and partisans across the country to march, man shoulder-fired missiles and defend an oil refinery from a simulated attack.

DO THE ABOVE RUSSIAN MILITARY ACTIONS LOOK LIKE RUSSIA PLANS TO NORMALIZE RELATIONS WITH THE WEST?

Conclusion

With all due respect, anyone who thinks that Putin has been deposed by more moderate and peaceful forces in Russia are mistaken. Whether Putin has been deposed by war hawks or this coup will result in a bloody civil war, is irrelevant. Unless there is a dramatic diplomatic breakthrough, the world is on a clear path to World War III.
