Why the urgency of it. As many of you know Israel is literally surrounded by those who pose a direct existential threat to her. Israel also did the land-for-peace “dance” when it gave back the Gaza strip and ever since has had no thing but rocket and mortar fire streaming across her borders as a thank you. HAMAS fired over 4000 rockets into Israel in the war last year. How would you like to live in a country where normalcy were air raid sirens going off and filling the skies overhead were the milky exhaust plumes of Iron Dome Intercepting rockets?So the Pope has thrown his hat in the ring on the side of the Palestinians, and thus how many Catholic’s will follow his lead.
