The Four Final Religions after the Rapture
on Thursday, July 2, 2015 by Bill Salus
This article was written for the Prophecy In The News July, 2015 magazine.
Presently, there are more gods to worship than there are days on the calendar and among the plethora of choices is the NO god option of agnosticism. However, without warning, that’s all about to suddenly change! A time is coming when people will no longer ask if there is a god, instead they will be deciding between at least four choices. Ultimately, as the world’s time clock ticks off its final three and one-half years, the options narrow down to just two.
The religious turning point kicks off with the Rapture. (1) After Christ snatches up His bride, the church, into heaven everything on earth swings into high spiritual mode. According to the Bible, signs and wonders become commonplace in the last days. (2) It becomes a period of time when paranormal events introduce a new normal whereby only supernatural explanations make any sense.
True Christianity
Christianity continues to flourish after the Rapture. Multitudes receive Christ as their Savior through Christian works, such as books and movies that were left behind, the preaching of the 144,000 Hebrew witnesses (Rev. 7:1-, the two witnesses (Rev. 11:1-13) and the angel that proclaims the gospel in (Rev. 14:6-7).
However, this period of time is characterized by Christian martyrdom (Rev. 6:9-11, 7:9-17). Christ alludes to this time as the “patience of the Saints” period (Rev. 13:10, 14:12-13). Choosing Christ then will be unpopular for two primary reasons.
First, it will turn into a death sentence. Second, the satanic deception described in 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10 will be so persuasive that it will allure many to believe in the religions of the Harlot (Rev. 17) and ultimately the Antichrist (Rev. 13).
False Religion Part One (The Harlot of Revelation 17)
After the Rapture many will be on the lookout for a charismatic world leader to emerge on the scene. Christianese buzz words like the “Apocalypse,” “Antichrist,” “Mark of the Beast” and the number “666” will cause many a sleepless night.
However, the Antichrist and his Mark of the Beast system won’t be the first false religion to take center-stage after the Rapture.
The first religious jeopardy for humanity is “MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” (3)According to Revelation 17:3 and 15, the Antichrist initially plays second fiddle to this globally recognized religious system. He allows the harlot to strum her song of strong deception until his appointed time in the sun arrives.
Ultimately, the harlot becomes problematic to the grander schemes of the Antichrist and he has her system desolated by the ten kings of Revelation 17:16. The devastation of the harlot religion paves the way for the Antichrist to implement his global scheme, which comes replete with a religion, economic system and world government. This Antichrist system becomes one of the final two religions, alongside true Christianity, competing for the souls of men.
The identity of the harlot has been the subject of some prophetic controversy.
Many, like me, believe it is spearheaded by Roman Catholicism and is based out of Rome. Others believe it is an ecumenical system that tolerates all religions, which could be headquartered in Babylon (Iraq), or New York City. These are the three primary location choices among most Bible scholars. Regardless of its whereabouts, Revelation 17:18 makes it clear that is centered in a city.
This counterfeit religion is vehemently opposed to the true Christianity taking place simultaneously. Revelation 17:6 seems to suggest that this system will shed the blood of God’s saints in the future. The book of Revelation says that at least three types of religious persecutions occur after the Rapture. The first sure pathway to a Christian death is the refusal of worshipping the image of the Antichrist (Rev. 13:15). However, this offer is not made available to mankind until the harlot is desolated. Therefore, the alternative murderous system is that of the harlot’s! Lastly, the third form of sanctioned killings occurs when the Antichrist attempts the genocide of the Jews (Zechariah 13:.
me teach that Islam is the harlot; however this thinking fails to recognize that the Islam of today is not likely the same as that of the time of existence of the first false religion. For reasons pointed out in my Psalm 83, The Missing Prophecy Revealed book, Islam is degraded by devastating defeats in the predominately Muslim wars of Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38. If my prophetic conclusions are correct, Islam’s best days are behind it, but Roman Catholicism is headed for an upswing.
Judaism
Speaking of religious upswings, one of the last days religions that will continue to flourish will be Judaism. It should become much more dominant within Israel in the last days. The Jews will be emboldened by their victories in the wars of Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38. Psalm 83 brings the Arab-Israeli conflict to its conclusion. The Israeli Defense Forces defeat the Arab confederacy identified in the prophecy.
(4)Their God Jehovah destroys the Russian led coalition of Ezekiel 38:1-6 through supernatural means. (5)
In the aftermath of Israel’s victories, the Israelis appear to embrace the religious practices prescribed in their Levitical Law. They will want to rebuild their temple and reinstate their former worship practices therein. This temple is identified prophetically in Matthew 24:15, Revelation 11:1-2 and elsewhere.
Another prophecy that supports the rise of Judaism in Israel is found in Ezekiel 39:12-16. These verses describe an Israeli campaign to cleanse the land after the defeat of the Ezekiel invaders. Decontaminating the land was a requirement of the Mosaic Law. Concerning this practice, Dr. Ron Rhodes writes in his book Northern Storm Rising:
“From the perspective of the Jews, the dead must be buried because exposed corpses are a source of ritual contamination to the land (Numbers 19:11-22; Deuteronomy 21:1-9). The land must therefore be completely cleansed and purged of all defilement. Neither the enemies nor their belongings (their weapons) can be left to pollute the land!”(6)
Although Judaism will exist after the Rapture, it will not survive much beyond the midpoint of the seven year Tribulation period. The Antichrist will attempt to kill all the Jews and the byproduct of that holocaustic event should be the rapid decline of Judaism. Concurrently, the faithful remnant of Zechariah 13:9 that survive the genocidal campaign will abandon Judaism and embrace true Christianity. The prophet Hosea informs us that during the Jewish persecution that the surviving Jews will recognize Jesus as their Messiah.
“I will return again to My place, (Christ ascended to His heavenly home after resurrecting). Till they, (The Jews), acknowledge their offense, (Generational rejection of Jesus as the Messiah). Then they, (A Jewish remnant), will seek My face; In their affliction, (The Tribulational period), they will earnestly seek Me.” (Hosea 5:15) (7)
False Religion Part Two (The Antichrist of Revelation 13)
When the Antichrist rises to power, he will attempt to end every other religion and pedestal his own. The apostle Paul calls him the “Son of Perdition” and informs us in 2 Thessalonians 2:4 that he is the one, “who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the (Third Jewish) temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” (
It is safe to presume that the spiritual system introduced by the Antichrist, which is propelled into position supernaturally by Satan through powerful deceptive wonders and lying signs, will be unlike anything before. (9) It may incorporate some old pagan religious beliefs and practices, but it will likely include new concepts as well.
Some suggest it could be a new age spiritual movement that could include things like;
• Proof that mankind is not alone in this universe, • Extra-terrestrial beings exist and possess a higher intelligence than man, (These would likely be fallen angels, masquerading around as benevolent alien beings), • How a person can become a god, • And, how to achieve super human psychic abilities.
Whatever deceptive trappings come wrapped up in this final scheme, they will be effective in bringing many people to a belief in the Antichrist as the god above all gods.
Once the Antichrist system is put in place the three other end times religions are in serious trouble! The harlot gets desolated first. Once she is taken out of the way, the Jews and Judaism come under attack. Lastly, at the end of the seven years of tribulation, a final war against true Christianity occurs. In Christian circles it is commonly referred to as the battle of Armageddon.
This episode features the armies of the world that worship the Antichrist in a final confrontation against what’s left of the Jewish people. Although Gentile believers exist at the time, the focal point of the Antichrist is the elimination of all Jews. If he can kill every last one of them, then he can slam dunk the football in the end-zone and proclaim that God broke His unconditional covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. (10) Guess who wins this final war?
GOD WINS!!!
Jesus Christ wins! That’s the great news! That’s the end of the previously foretold story. God prevails, and that’s why all believers in true Christianity can rejoice before and after the Rapture. We, who believe in the Bible as the inerrant Word from God, know the end from the beginning. It’s all been given to us in the Holy Scriptures. (11)
Jesus returns on a white horse, (Revelation 19:11), and rescues the faithful Jewish remnant single handedly according to Isaiah 63:1-8. Subsequently, He establishes His kingdom on the earth for 1,000 years (Revelation 20:4).
Jesus Christ will be the last man standing after all the other religions fall by the wayside. About 2,000 years ago He came to earth, died for mankind’s sins, conquered death, and because of His supernatural resurrection He is alive and well right now. Believe it or not, He is returning soon. Are you ready?
“And behold, I (Jesus) am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” (Rev. 22:12-13)

He's wrong. I've written John McTernan's 666 Surveillance System blog for a year and a half, and his Image of the Beast blog since it's inception, and based on everything I've read and written, I'm almost positive it's going to be paganism. If you have any doubts, read through the 666 posts, especially those on Binaural Beats and on the Commercial Trance State - and watch the embedded videos. Even the article linked in a post today by Colonel backs this up, on the Pope's latest pronouncement. That isn't Catholicism; he's leading them to Marxism and paganism. Pope declares Hell is a myth
Speaking of videos, here's my latest video script produced by Cleantv - what does this lead you to believe about the coming religion?

There is no pre-trib rapture. The rapture comes in Revelation Chapter 7 after the sun is darkened and the moon turn to blood in chapter 6, then God pours out his wrath.Chapter 1-11 then repeated in chapter 12-22. We are Israel for we are the circumcision that is made with out hands. The Great Deception is ..... that the UN puppet of the world bankers made the state of "Israel" and have duped many into believing that there is something "special" about a person who claims to be a Jew. In Christ there is neither Jew nor Gentile .... please wake up or be set up.

Your statement reflects an acceptance of replacement theology, which rests on a belief that God has rejected Israel for its rejection of the Messiah. But God's covenant with Israel was unconditional. It wasn't based on their obedience or acceptance, but on His faithfulness, and if you accept the premise that He has rejected them, that means He could just as easily reject us because His promises aren't trustworthy. That's not an acceptable conclusion.
Prophecy is clear that the focus of God at the very end is on Israel, not the Church - that's why there are 2 witnesses in Jerusalem, 144,000 Jews sealed to preach, etc. Both Daniel and Revelation make this clear. I pray you'll be open enough to seek the Lord about this doctrine and read these two explanatory articles on Chuck Missler's site, since he has one of the best teaching ministries available today:
Replacement Theology part 1 and Replacement Theology part 2

It’s very different than replacement theology.
After the reign of Solomon, Israel and Judah were separate states for over two hundred years. Around 722 BC, Israel was conquered and relocated by the Assyrians. They never returned to their homeland, even to this day, for God had divorced them - Jeremiah 3:8. https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/History/Kingdoms1.html
Quoting Yeshua: I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel - Matthew 15:24. Who did he find? The people in Israel today are not of the house of Israel, although some are most likely a remnant of the house of Judah. Many of today’s Christians belong to the house of Israel though they don't know it. Other lovers of Yeshua have been grafted into the branch as well - Romans 11:24.
On that cloudy and dark day yet to come, the shepherd will seek out his sheep and bring them to their own land - Ezekiel 34:12-16. Israel and Judah will be reunited with each other and with their God, never to go astray again - Ezekiel 37:19.

Oh Lovisa, I've always respected you and still do. But I pray you'll check out the links I posted for rita because I'd like to see you have more complete teaching on this since what she's espousing is exactly that - replacement theology. As to your other point, about many of today's Christians belonging to Israel & not knowing, I believe that's true & you're right.
I was adopted as an infant, and a year and a half ago my natural father turned up. I'd never even known his name but he found me, and in my 50's I learned that I'm 1/2 Jewish. I'm a blue-eyed blonde, so never had this heritage been something I'd ever even considered, though at times I'd wished I'd been Jewish because of the special relationship they have with the Lord. But for 5 decades I'd believed I was a gentile, only to find out differently at this late age. So you have something there.

For years and years i believed exactly as you do. Then i studied my Bible and try as i might, there were certain things that didn’t add up. There were things that wouldn’t unravel or reveal their meaning. Frustrating. It was at that point that i started to question, WHO is Israel? (the light was beginning to shine).
Judah and Israel are distinctly different peoples, in fact they became different countries. After the time of Solomon, when the Bible says Israel it means Israel. When the Bible says Ephraim, it means Israel. When the Bible says Judah, it means Judah. When Yeshua said he was sent for the lost sheep of the HOUSE OF ISRAEL, he knew what he was saying. He was speaking of those people who had disappeared from the map hundreds of years before. It was his purpose to gather them back into the fold.
Once one can see this, all of scripture falls into place. Yeshua was sent for the lost sheep of the HOUSE OF ISRAEL. The ones that were divorced from God. He was gathering them back into the fold. Where were the disciples sent, who accepted him? The house of Israel. Who rejected him? The house of Judah. And that’s sad but it’s ok because he was sent for the house of Israel. When he comes back, he will gather ALL of his sheep, from both the house of Israel and from Judah. And they will come together and become one, under him.
This is what so, so, so, much of the Bible is talking about and because we lack the understanding of who the two houses are, we miss the point entirely.

Lovisa, I'll have to take more time (when I have more time) to look at exactly what you're saying. But based on a quick review, I don't think you're saying the same thing that rita is. I know that what she's espousing is replacement theology, Yours is more complex, so I'll have to take more time to study what you're saying. But replacement theology is a deception, and leads to anti-Semitism, as I've become more attuned to since discovering my true heritage.
Right now, my dog Audie wants to go play with the kid who's visiting next door & to go swimming, before all of the fireworks start (since they scare him half to death!) But thanks for responding so graciously. I'll look at what you're saying when I have time, and I hope you'll look at the articles I've linked. And please pray for Anthony, the young teenager visiting next door. He loves my dog & I'm praying that provides an opening to talk to him about Jesus!

Internet Pilgrim, maybe the video below will help you to understand about the two houses of Israel. The top video is just the promo for the DVD. If that gets your interest then the DVD version is below too. I understand this two house teaching thoroughly and it is something that I agree with myself.
Jews = Judah (southern kingdom tribes of Judah & Benjamin) Israel = Ephraim (northern 10 lost kingdom tribes) Gentiles = Everybody else
Jim Staley is a great speaker and he makes this subject so easy to understand.

lovisa, I have been convinced of that very thing for many years.....there are so many people who cannot see the separation of Israel and Judah and assume that all of the Israelites went back to Israel....they did not....josephus confirmed this in "the antiquity of the jews" and you will not find a single modern jewish historian that will confirm that the northern tribes went back to Israel following the Assyrian captivity....the 10 tribes of the north were never referred to as "jews".....that term only applied to tribes that were in Judah, the tribe of Judah, the tribe of Benjamin and the levite priests that were in Judah after the split.....if you haven't done so, do a little research into the Israeli airlift of the Ethiopians during the 60's ,after idi amin overran Ethiopia, and brought them to Israel.....they would not have done that if they had not been obligated to do so....some real history to that.....all the way back to solomon

Michael, I had no idea. I haven't really kept up with Jim Staley for over a year or more but I did recall his teaching on the two house subject as being exceptionally easy to understand. Doing a little checking it seems that all the charges are from before he stated his ministry. At least he admits his wrongdoing instead of trying to place blame on someone else. According to the video below he'll know something around 29 July. Meanwhile, he needs to make restitution to those he hurt, either $$$ wise or 'do the crime, do the time' wise.
Keeping that in mine this is still one of the best two house teachings. He's got that goin' for him.

There is one Shepard , one fold. Jesus Christ is the Messiah, for there is none other name under heaven given among men where by we must be saved. And so all Israel shall be saved. We are Israel , and joint heirs with the seed of Abraham , sons of God . For Jesus Christ is the Seed singular promised to Abraham and fore told in the judgement to Eve that would crush the head of the serpent. By faith Abraham obeyed God and this was counted to him as righteousness and by faith I / we believe Jesus is the Christ / Messiah who was the promised savior who was fully man and fully God , sinless, crucified to pay for our sins , buried , risen on the third day . For by grace are ye saved , through faith , and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God . Not of works , lest any man should boast. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints and of the household of God. For He is our peace , who hath made both one and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us. ....for to make in himself of twain one new man , so making peace:...Whereby , when ye read , ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men , as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit . That the gentiles should be fellow heirs and of the same body , and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel. The book of Revelations is written to the Saints / Us , to the seven churches . It is not about the so called Jews . The only time Jews is mentioned is " of them which say they are Jews, and are not but are the synagogue of Satan" . ( the 144,000 are of the Tribes of each of the twelve sons of Jacob/ Israel ) They are not referred to as Jews. And the first time Jews are mentioned in the bible is 2 Kings 16:6 . That is long after the twelve tribes were together as Israel. So no one is a Jew anymore. There are people who practice a Anti Christ religion called Judaism. These people call themselves Jews but this is a Religion not a race. We need to reach these people and all those who practice false religions and share the truth of the Gospel , that for God so loved the WORLD he sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ , that Whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. This fourth of July it is still free to report this part of our Bible where in other countries it is illegal but it is a sad truth 1 Thessalonians 2:14-1614 For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews: 15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: 16 Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost. The great deception ... indeed it is my fellow believers. Let's go and knock doors and spread the Good news to our deceived "Jewish friends" and all others , that is the most loving thing we can do for another human being.

They aren't at issue. Those living in Israel today, the Jews of Israel, are.
Rita, argument is fruitless; discussion is not. I'd urge you to actually read this with a prayerful, open mind: Questions Continue: The Great Snatch
I'm finding the information presented by Lovisa and researcher interesting enough to pursue, although it isn't something I'd considered much before. I say "not much" because I have been following the recovery of the lost tribes all over the world - India, China, Ethiopia, etc through DNA testing. So that's not entirely a foreign concept. Applying it to myself is what seemed foreign.
But if we don't have an open enough mind to look at something (as long as it doesn't Clearly contradict the Word) then we'll never grow. But it cleary isn't replacement theology- it doesn't say that God has rejected the Jews, and that those Jews in Israel today are false, since the Church has taken their place in God's affection. That's a very different thing and makes God's covenants untrustworthy. In fact, it's the very opposite, since what they're discussing is the restoration of the 10 tribes. The other 2 didn't need restored since they never really left the land - that doesn't make them false Jews, of the "synagogue of Satan," but precisely the opposite.
Daniel's 70th week is the completion of the times of the Jews, of Israel. The focus shifts back to them for what Paul terms the restoration of the original branch onto which the Gentiles were grafted. Without that shift back, much of the OT prophecy would remain unfulfilled. I pray you'll read the article linked, since it explains it much more clearly than I have or can.

The message of the Gospel is the issue. I will spend my time knocking doors sharing the Gospel every Saturday and at work with my patients and my free time at home with family and friends. Rm 1:16 For I am notashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. I am open minded to the Word of God , not genealogies. I have one focus which Jesus Christ said as he ascended to Heaven , Go ye into all the workd , and preach the gospel to every creature. The church at Ephesus "hast left thy first love ." And told to " do the first works" which is to go and share the gospel message. And you will as I have actually find some " Jews" ( again not a race but people following a anti Christ religion ) and they will accept Chirst as their savior ! Even Muslims have accepted the gospel and so this is so exciting !! This is what I hope you will do and have so much joy when they too Believe only on the completed work of Jesus Christ for their salvation.

Call it whatever you like, it doesn't change the meaning of it. But this is a fruitless discussion, and I won't argue with you. I'd provided links to some good articles to give another perspective for you to consider. That's as far as I'll go with it; it's up to you to avail yourself of them.
As to the other resources mentioned in this thread, I'm finding the "Identity Crisis" very interesting and informative. I'm about 1/3 through it now, but I have to stop to take Audie out to see the kid next door before he leaves. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest though - thanks, guys.

Okay, researcher, Lovisa, I'm halfway through the "Identity Crisis" video, and I have questions. Maybe I should wait until the end, but at this point, I wonder, if I just learned that I'm Jewish, does that mean that I must be from the tribe of Judah, or I wouldn't have known at all? This isn't a mere teaching to me, but it's very personal now, since meeting my father - who is a real trip, by the way. A Vietnam vet with long white hair and a beard, who takes "journeys" like I did in my youth before I found Christ. I know now that God planned my adoption, because otherwise I might never have known him. My Scottish grandmother was a totally born-again, praying believer, whose step-father held tent revivals, and no one in my natural family knew anything about Christ.
But I've also learned that I'm a descendant of William Bradford, the Pilgrim father, and I can't help but believe that he prayed for his descendants all to come to Christ. This gets more complex, the more I try to discover who I am, and why I am what I am.... but thanks for the help with this video. It's beginning to unravel some of it, but then again, it raises even more questions for me.

yeah, it made me sick when I found out about it, and it probably was not intentional fraud, but still, it bothers me because he is an outstanding teacher....there is no telling how many times I have listened to "identity crisis" over the years....doing the research on the 10 lost tribes was my first research project, many, many years ago and it started because of Herbert w. Armstrong, who I used to listen to when I was a kid....I enjoyed his teaching on prophecy and evolution, but I did not believe him on the lost tribes....while he was substantially correct, I do not consider the house of Israel to be great britian and America.....Israel is still scattered all around Europe,russia,america,ect.....Israel was never a country, it was a nation of people....then I started looking into hali salasi's claim that he was descended from Solomon after the airlift....much to my surprise, he was not joking, and then I was hooked on looking into stuff in the bible that people didn't know or were afraid of, but more often, were flat wrong on, like the pre-trib rapture.....just like the schools, the churches have gone through a conditioning process to accept about anything but truth

Internet Pilgrim, i hope you had a good time with Anthony. i didn’t expect much interest in this topic and it's nice to be pleasantly surprised. Once you understand this, the Bible will begin to make a lot more sense. i promise you that!
That’s an interesting story, Internet Pilgrim, about meeting your dad. If he’s Jewish, then it would seem that you are too. Maybe he knows what tribe he’s from. Most are from Judah, Benjamin, or Levi.
As Americans (except for the founding ones), a lot of us have lost our roots and sense of belonging to a culture. It’s funny that the video (which was very good) is called Identity Crisis becasuse it’s a good thing to know where we came from.

I watched the newer 2014 version of Identity Crisis last night. It goes into much more detail than the older 2009-2010 ~1 hour versions did. I'm impressed! If anyone has passed this one by thinking they've already seen it before - think again. You haven't, really.
I hope that Mr. Staley gets his legal issues settled without jail time as I'd hate to lose him in the ministry. He's such a good teacher and he puts things within easy reach. Of course I still want to see him make restitution to those he may have wronged. I hope they can work something out. Meantime he needs our prayers.

I need to watch this more than once since I kept getting interrupted and it loses something when that happens, but overall, I'm finding it very interesting. Thanks again, guys!
