9-23 Skidoo (Rewind, 2013)


Have you noticed all the hullaballoo on YouTube about what’s going to happen on September 23, 2015? Search that date & you will find a veritable deluge of Biblical literalists, ersatz synchromystics, conspiracy theorists, & more, clamoring to get your attention. They’re all asking the same question. What’s going down on September 23^rd? No made-for-TV movie, no 90s sitcom, no execrable Seth McFarlane cartoon is too obscure to serve as evidence that something big is set to occur. Having skimmed through a couple of them, I must say I am intrigued. But there are some important clues the YouTubers seem, not surprisingly, to have missed.
Exhibit A comes from this short video which I recommend you watch.


 It’s a brisk analysis of Rewind, a ‘failed’ TV pilot aired on the Sci-Fi Channel back in August 2013. Rewind is a fairly entertaining sci-fi yarn about time-travel. It’s got veteran B-actor Jeff Fahey as a squinty former NASA scientist, & loads of totally implausible time-travel technology, such as a computer program that actually allows the time-techs to see what effects changing the past will have on the present. Handy! It ends on a pretty good cliffhanger, & I was surprised to find that I was disappointed the story did not continue. Oh well, life goes on.
A full-on dissection of the show will not be undertaken here. I’ll focus instead mostly on the video from YouTuber C. Ervana, which highlights some key points from the pilot as it relates to 9/23. One of these occurs in the show’s first moments, when CIA agents (the proverbial Good Guys) are trying to bust down the door to get at an ersatz terrorist named Rourke (played by none other than legendary director David Cronenberg). Rourke has planted a nuclear bomb in downtown Manhattan, & it’s set to go off in mere minutes. He’s being  interrogated against orders by a frantic CIA Agent Sean Knox (note his initials S.K.), who has locked himself in the room & is flipping through Rourke’s notebooks, gazing at suggestive drawings of wormholes & pages of indecipherable equations.
We see a digital readout counting down the seconds to Manhattan’s nuclear annihilation. The time remaining? 2:39. Clearly, according to C. Ervana, a cypher for 23-9, or 9-23, September 23. As this number flashes the screen we hear the shouted words, “Open the door!” This overlapping of word & image points to funny-business involving September 23 & the opening of a Door. As we find out later, Our Hero must travel through a dimensional gateway created via “the world’s largest particle collider”—a clear reference to CERN—to go back in time to stop the detonation. What C. Ervana does miss, however, is that the countdown progresses in the shot he’s referencing. It starts on 2:39, yes, but we see it count down two seconds before it cuts to another shot. The time we see when it cuts is 2:37. Back to Room 237 we go a'wandering…

So while C. Ervana is concentrating on the 2:39 part of the equation, he misses the other half of it. But how is 9/23 related to 237? Because the date in question—September 23—that everyone’s up in arms about, actually encodes the number 237. As SEPT-ember, once upon a time, was the seventh month—'sept’ means 'seven'—so when we say 'September 23’ we are saying, literally, 'Seven-23,’ or 723. Writing the date the way the Eurozone does it (that is, how it’s supposed to be done)—23 September—& the 237 is even more unmistakable. So we have dozens of Youtube fundies screeching at the top of their lungs about the date September 23, 2015, without seeming to realize that what they are screaming about is actually the number 237. Specifically, some of them are talking about the possibility of a DOOR being opened on a date that encodes 237. Possibly this door?

Now, if all this were merely the product of some fevered fundamentalism peppered with an overload of Sci-Fi channel programming, I’d be less inclined to look at it seriously, but there are other, more grounded indicators that this time period represents something significant. Take a look at this article from Intellihub, pointed out to me by gentleman & scholar Dennis Koch after he read my previous post on Stanley Kubrick & odd time-intervals:

The gist of it is that back on May 13, 2014, Secretary of State John Kerry along with French foreign minister Laurent Fabius made a joint statement to the press announcing that “we have 500 days to avoid climate chaos.” This is surely an odd proclamation… what could it even mean in regards to climate change? There’s no way they could possibly have pinpointed such an exact date as being a tipping point for a runaway greenhouse effect. One might be tempted to assume that it’s simply arbitrary, another way of spooking the press-club into writing more pieces on combating climate change… until we notice that the '500 days’ will elapse on September 25, 2015, two days after 9/23. It may be deduced from this by the conspiratorially-minded that 9/23 is the planned date on which something will occur that will have as its aim preventing the so-called 'climate chaos’ set to be unleashed a couple days later. It’s a fact that if you go to Google Maps, zoom out all the way, & then enter 9/23/2015, you will be pointed to the CERN Recruitment Center. That may be coincidental, but it’s certainly an odd one.
Now, most of us know that 'global warming’ is pure politics, or in other words, bullshit. The media has been alternating between reports of 'global warming’ & 'global cooling’ since at least the 1970s. It’s more likely that the opposite is the case—we might be headed to a new Maunder Minimum & possibly a mini-Ice Age. I propose that the climate-change being pushed by these fourth-world shapeshifters is real, just not in the way we’ve been led to think. Rather than the literal weather, it’s the psychic climate that’s changing. When we are encouraged to fight 'climate change,’ what they are asking of us is to actively halt our own psychic evolution. The sneaky bastards.
There’s more to this, though. As the Intellihub article points out, the day on which climate chaos is set to ensue, September 25, 2015, will be the day on which Pope Francis—the Last Pope according to the Malachi Prophecy—will be in NYC on a tour of the Eastern Seaboard. The day before he will address the US Congress, marking the first time in history a Pope will have done so. He will also meet with President Obama & Secretary General of the UN Ban-ki Moon. On September 25 he will address the UN General Assembly of world leaders. Crucially, on the same day he will make a pitstop at Ground Zero to give a speech commemorating the events of 9/11/2001. Or should I say consecrating?

It gets weirder, because 9/25 is a Friday, & we all know what happens on Fridays: new movies are released. If they are really special they will come out on the Wednesday before, but most of them come out on Friday. So what movie will debut on September 25, 2015 as part of the New York Film Festival? Why it’s The Walk, of course, directed by Robert Zemeckis of Back to the Future fame. As was recently shown in another well-produced video by Joe Alexander,


BTTF may have literally encoded information depicting the events of 9/11. So in a way it’s not all that surprising that Zemeckis has made a movie about the Twin Towers, & that this movie will premiere on the same day that Pope Francis is set to consecrate the disaster site.
Backing up a bit (you might say… rewinding), the man credited as director of the Rewind pilot is a producer/director named Jack Bender. He’s no slouch, this guy, having been the credited director on 38 episodes of Lost, as well as additional credits on The Sopranos, Carnivàle, & Game of Thrones. Bender also directed a version of The Tempest for the small-screen in the year 1998 (which is 666x3 for those of you keeping score). The Tempest is a rabbit hole we don’t need to go into here—suffice it to say it’s a major indicator of his significance to this strange sync matrix we are exploring. As it happens, Jack Bender will have a birthday on… September 25! Having been born in 1949, on 9/25/2015 Bender will turn 66 years old. Huh.
Credited as screenwriter for Rewind is Justin Marks. No biographical information is available on him, but it’s worth noting that he’s been tapped to write the screenplay for Top Gun 2. That’s a pretty huge career-boost for someone who just a couple years ago was bemoaning his own obscurity in the Hollywood Reporter. Somebody (likely Tom Cruise himself) must have liked his work. I wonder why? It seems his career has picked up since then, presumably on the strength of his Rewind script & other unproduced efforts. Even though the pilot was not picked up, it’s safe to assume that it got seen. Hey, good for him. I just wonder if he actually realizes what kinds of sinister forces he’s dealing with.

This video on the subject of Disney’s Hercules is interesting. Relating the 1997 film to the supposed Apocalypse of 9/23/15, it’s of a decidedly Christian bent, but worth watching.


The gist of it is pointing out that in the opening moments of the film Hercules, we are given a prophecy. Paraphrasing, it goes something like this: “In 18 years, the planets will be aligned, & the Titans will be released to do battle with Zeus. Zeus will fall & Hades will rule.” Hercules was released in 1997… 18 years ago. The implication is that 2015 is the year spoken of in the prophecy. I didn’t see anything from Hercules in the video that specifically points to 9/23/15, so I’m assuming he’s just lumping it in with the rest of the 9/23 prophecies. That’s a real shame, because there’s something else this person missed that really drives the point home. Hard to believe that I have to be the one to point out to these Christian fundamentalists that they missed the best evidence for their own prophecies. What kind of kook does that make me, I wonder?
Anyway, get this: Hercules saw wide-release on June 27, 1997, so that’s when our prophecy begins. The supposed date of our prospective rapture is September 23, 2015, but the whole week is pinpointed as significant, & that week begins on Monday, September 21, with the UN’s International Day of Peace (right…). If we calculate the time-interval between the Hercules release & the week beginning September 21, 2015, we are given a remarkable number. The total number of days in that interval… 6660 days. There’s the number of the Beast, repeatedly referenced in that very same video as an indicator of the impending Apocalypse, staring us in the face. If we want to extend it to the-day-after-9/25—the day on which 'climate chaos’ is set to begin—we get exactly 6666 days (inclusive of the starting date)! I’ll repeat it for effect: the time-span between the release of Disney’s Hercules (where we are given a prophecy) & the 9/21-9/25 window of 2015 (the year specified in the prophecy) is also the interval between 6660 & 6666 days later. What the hell…?
To add to the mountain of strangeness, let’s rewind again & reiterate that two days after the day of the supposed door-opening ceremony from our friends at CERN—that is, on 9/25/15—while the Pope will be giving a commemorative address at the site of the WTC disaster, a few blocks away there will occur the world premiere of the new film by Robert Zemeckis, The Walk, a fictionalized account of Philippe Petit’s 1974 high-wire walk between the Twin Towers. In an obvious bit of ritualist/ceremonial mischief, the projected image will be of a man 'bridging the gap’ of the twin pillars of Solomon’s Temple—similar to how the Two was replaced by the One (the Freedom Tower having taken the place of the Twin Towers after their destruction)—while the world’s foremost Holy Authority gives his special in-person blessing of the site itself just down the road.
Spooky, but it gets worse. Our two significant dates in this equation are 9/11/2001 & 9/21/2015 (the day on which the week of 9/23 begins). Given what we’ve seen in this article as well as in those posted here previous, you might guess that there will be some notable interval marking these two occasions, & by golly there most certainly is. Between 9/11/2001 & 9/21/2015 will have elapsed exactly 732 weeks, 24 hours. Reverse those numbers & you are looking at 237 & 42 (42 being the product of 2x3x7). Are your alarm bells going off yet?
One more & I will move on from all these dates & numbers. The fabled Back to the Future was released on July 3, 1985. Stanley Kubrick’s final feature Eyes Wide Shut was released on July 16, 1999, which was the 30^th anniversary of the launch of Apollo 11. But the actual premiere of EWS occurred 3 days earlier on July 13, 1999. Well, it just so happens that, inclusive of the starting date, between 7/3/85 & 7/13/99 elapsed exactly 732 weeks. Exactly. So between BTTF & EWS, 732 weeks. Between 9/11 & The Walk… also 732 weeks. If you still think there’s such a thing as 'coincidence,’ think again.
I need to wrap this up somehow, to put a finer point on it all. I’m not sure that’s totally possible. What conclusions, if any, can be drawn from all of these remarkable synchronicities? I’m certainly not prepared to join in with the chorus of YouTube howlers predicting an imminent Apocalypse. Honestly I don’t really see an end in store at all; if anything I see a beginning. We’ve come too far & endured too much hardship to just get f****d at the end of it. “Every act of creation is first an act of destruction,” as Cronenberg’s character says in Rewind, quoting Picasso. It’s a depressingly nihilistic philosophy, but it also might be what’s inspiring the deep thinkers at the CIA & CERN. Personally I find it hard to believe that this world, this fantastically large, complex, dynamic, beautiful, gross, weird-ass psychedelic shit-show of opposing forces & inscrutable motives would end with something as trivial as complete nuclear annihilation. Really, Lord? That’s all you got? We all spend 70 years in terror of the Bomb & then… we just get it? That’s all she wrote? Maybe it is. Maybe it will be the like the end of the unsung Alex Proyas film Knowing. If so, then there’s sure as shit nothing I can do about it. Then again, maybe that’s just what they’d like you to think…

That was very interesting, I wish I had time to watch it all, but I wanted to say, that I've been beset, plagued by seeing the number 22 and 9-22 everywhere on tv. It blows my mind. This has been going on for about 8 yrs. It's starting to give me the crazy eye twitch whenever I see it anymore, every day.
