BPEartWatch is doing a great series on a huge earth wide impact about 13,900 years ago. He isn't the only one. I've watched a few really good documentaries on this from others before BP started investigating this. I've also researched over the past few years a huge impact in Canada that sent big chunks of rock hurling into parts of the Carolina's and other places. This event it would seem was what wiped out the larger mammals like mastodons, mammoth, North American camels, saber toothed tigers, etc. It's one heck of an interesting study. Follow along. BP has two parts up so far and he's promised more. I'll keep this updated as BP puts more video up.

Here's one of the better ones from PBS NOVA done around 2013-ish. It has a lot in it and is only about 50 minutes long.

Got the link to this video today from the guys at the electric universe / thunderbolt project and it's pretty interesting. It's another viewpoint and doesn't exactly line up with the BPEarthWatch (and others) views but in the spirit of fairness to all views I thought it interesting enough to share. Who knows???? I still think BP is onto something and my investigation into this subject LONG BEFORE BP's video's showed up on YouTube has me leaning more in that direction than the thunderbolts view.
Duration 7min 18sec

New scientific reports suggest that ancient stone carvings confirm that a great comet struck the earth over ten thousand years ago. Researchers at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland have studied the perplexing symbols carved on stone pillars at Gobekli Tepe in Turkey. They have concluded that the markings in effect document a cometary bombardment on Earth around 11,000 BC. We asked Thunderbolts Project founder David Talbott for his thoughts on these claims.
