[size=12][size=12]Think nothing is happening? Look at this

Banking Alert! Services Limited or Unavailable

There is an update process going on with many major banks and
credit unions over the weekend, including Chase, Wells Fargo, First
United Bank, CITIGROUP INC, BANCWEST CORPORATION, DEUTSCHE BANK TRUST
CORPORATION, BDCU, BECU, Columbia Bank, Concord Bank, Five Point Credit
Union, Kemba Credit Union, and many others.

This seems to be an industry wide update and many services will
be unavailable or limited. Each bank is a little different, but they are
limiting access to accounts, funds, mobile banking, even allowable
purchase amounts on debit and credit cards.

Below you’ll find more detailed information from Chase, Columbia Banks and others to give you an idea of what is going on.

Anonymous announce plans to attack US banks, institutions
By Nerea Rial | May 6, 2013 - 5:03pm

Hacking group Anonymous has launched OperationUSA (#OpUSA), a coordinated online attack against nine US government sites and more than 130 financial institutions for 7 May, according to a post published in Pastebin.

The attack, according to Anonymous, would be a response to social and political injustices. "America you have committed multiple war crimes in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and recently you have committed war crimes in your own country. ...Now it is our time for our Lulz (fun)," the group said.

Organisations should be now preparing their strategies against distributed-denial-of-service attack, if they don't want to be disrupted. Besides, according to experts, call-center staff should be educated about DDoS attacks to inform costumers about possible difficulties in accessing accounts.

Network and security teams should also be monitoring online traffic and take necessary steps to block targeted IP addresses.

Hopefully everything will be ok but this reminds me of a time when all PCs needed a special security patch and then right after the upgrade, lights (and everything electronic) went out on the eastern half of the US for a few days.

FYI it is important to watch the network correlations when more than one bank "goes down". Lately people have begun to pick up on banks going down one or two at a time per network, which is a dead ringer sign that they're beta testing a universal "kill switch" of sorts. Not the theory of shutting them & or what they will internally do but the actual IT specialist or whatever somewhere physically trying it out to make sure or continue making sure all is well. They wouldn't want to allow one or more networks with a flawed system and people rushing in to withdraw money when the "lockdown" has supposedly already begun. Look at the back of your bank's debit card to see what I mean.
