"They're Going Thermonuclear": Breitbart Declares "War" On The White House
by Tyler Durden Aug 18, 2017 1:49 PM
The love affair between Breitbart, whose former head Steve Bannon was just fired by Donald Trump, just turned to hate, as confirmed by Joel Pollak, a Breitbart Editor, who moments ago tweeted one word:

As Axios' Jonathan Swan explains, "Joel is a Breitbart editor. They're going thermonuclear, I'm told. "

Separately, as iBankCoin reports, investigative journalist and former Breitbart employee, Lee Stranahan, offered a quick quip on today’s news that Bannon has resigned from the White House, suggesting that Steve would ‘unleash the beast’ through his online publication and call out those working against the Trump agenda in the White House.
Quote :
Dear @POTUS : You have not yet figured out who your real enemies in the White House are. Best of luck without Bannon. #FireMcMaster — Lee Stranahan (@stranahan) August 18, 2017
Stranahan has been a long time loyalist to Bannon and ardent opponent to several people inside Trump’s White House, namely McMaster, Powell and Cohn. The theory he’s putting forth is that Bannon will have more power outside the White House than inside. While that might be true for Steve, I fail to see how fomenting more internal strife inside the Trump White House will be constructive at this point. Nevertheless, it’s about to get real interesting soon. Watch

As for what Steve Bannon's next steps would be, Axios reports that it "will be all about the billionaire Mercer family."
Quote :
I'm told Bannon, who visited New York this week, met with Bob Mercer and together they will be a well-funded force on the outside.
Bannon has felt liberated since it became clear he was being pushed out, according to friends. He's told associates he has a "killing machine" in Breitbart News, and it's possible he returns to lead their editorial operation.
A source familiar with Breitbart's operations told me they would go "thermonuclear" against "globalists" that Bannon and his friends believe are ruining the Trump administration, and by extension, America.
Watch for Breitbart's Washington Editor Matt Boyle to be a central figure in this war — which has already begun — against White House officials like HR McMaster, Dina Powell, Gary Cohn, and Jared and Ivanka.
Then again, Trump may be spared. As Politico's Robert Costa tweets, "One theme I'm picking up: Bannon believes next battle is *not* w/ Trump but w/ Kushner/Cohn/Dina/HR McMaster. "Save Trump," as one R put it."

Trump Removes Chief Strategist Steve Bannon By Melanie Arter | August 18, 2017 | 1:41 PM EDT
Former Chief Strategist Steve Bannon (Screenshot of C-SPAN video) (CNSNews.com) - The White House announced Friday that Chief Strategist Steve Bannon is out effective today.
“White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and Steve Bannon have mutually agreed today would be Steve’s last day. We are grateful for his service and wish him the best,” White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement.
As recently as Tuesday, President Donald Trump was asked whether he had confidence in Bannon.
“Well, we'll see. Look, look -- I like Mr. Bannon. He's a friend of mine, but Mr. Bannon came on very late. You know that. I went through 17 senators, governors, and I won all the primaries. Mr. Bannon came on very much later than that, and I like him. He's a good man.
“He is not a racist, I can tell you that,” Trump said of Bannon at the time. “He's a good person. He actually gets very unfair press in that regard, but we'll see what happens with Mr. Bannon, but he's a good person, and I think the press treats him, frankly, very unfairly.”
Bannon gave an interview the next day with American Prospect magazine that contradicted the president’s stance on North Korea.
“Contrary to Trump’s threat of fire and fury, Bannon said: ‘There’s no military solution [to North Korea’s nuclear threats], forget it. Until somebody solves the part of the equation that shows me that ten million people in Seoul don’t die in the first 30 minutes from conventional weapons, I don’t know what you’re talking about, there’s no military solution here, they got us,’” the magazine stated.
Bannon went on to describe his battle inside the administration to take a harder line on China trade, and not to fall into a trap of wishful thinking in which complaints against China’s trade practices now had to take a backseat to the hope that China, as honest broker, would help restrain Kim.
The article ended with the writer saying: “The conversation ended with Bannon inviting me to the White House after Labor Day to continue the discussion of China and trade. We’ll see if he’s still there.”
Meanwhile, according to reports, Bannon actually gave his resignation on Aug. 6.

White House: John Kelly, Steve Bannon Agree Today Is Bannon’s Last Day
by Michelle Moons18 Aug 2017Washington, D.C.0
WASHINGTON, D.C. — White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders issued a statement on Friday confirming that White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon is leaving his position in the White House.
The statement sent to reporters read simply:
Quote :
White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and Steve Bannon have mutually agreed today would be Steve’s last day. We are grateful for his service and wish him the best.
Bannon joined then-candidate Donald Trump’s campaign in 2016. He was brought on staff at the White House as Chief Strategist at the beginning of the Trump Administration. His departure comes shortly after several other White House officials have left. Shortly before confirmation of Bannon’s departure, 20 grassroots conservative leaders issued a letter praising President Donald Trump while emphasizing that they took comfort that Steve Bannon and Kellyanne Conway were assisting Trump in weathering “unfair attacks” and keeping President Trump’s agenda “front and center.” The leaders wrote, “While others may come and go in the White House, we feel sure that with Steve and Kellyanne at your side, you will always hear the voices of those of us who have supported you through thick and thin, despite the efforts by some to ‘manage’ you and your message.” The New York Times reported, “As of Friday morning, the two men were still discussing Mr. Bannon’s future, the officials said. A person close to Mr. Bannon insisted the parting of ways was his idea, and that he had submitted his resignation to the president on Aug. 7, to be announced at the start of this week, but it was delayed in the wake of the racial unrest in Charlottesville, Va.”
