South Korean military forces have FIRED UPON North Korean Border Guards in the De-Militarized Zone as they apparently searched for another Defector. At least twenty (20) shots were fired. This is a developing story, please check back for updates.

South Korea's military has fired warning shots at North Korean guards searching for a soldier who defected early morning. The North Korean soldier had walked across the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) shortly after 08:00 (23:00 Wednesday). He had emerged from thick fog at a checkpoint, said the South's military. He is the fourth North Korean soldier to defect this year. The incident comes weeks after one of the most dramatic defections in recent times. In that incident, on 13 November, a soldier was shot as he fled across to the southern side of the Joint Security Area (JSA) in the village of Panmunjom. On Thursday, South Korea's defence ministry said its soldiers had fired around 20 warning shots when border guards from the North approached the border, appearing to be searching for the North Korean soldier who had defected hours earlier. Yonhap news agency reported that the sound of gunshots coming from the North was heard 40 minutes later, although no bullets were found to have crossed the border.
The defection occurred along the border in Gangwon province, according to South Korea's national broadcaster KBS. The soldier was taken into custody and Seoul said it was investigating what drove him to cross. Very few North Korean defectors risk crossing to the South via the DMZ. One of the world's most heavily guarded strips of land, the DMZ is a thin buffer zone between the two Koreas and is fortified on both sides with barbed wire, surveillance cameras, electric fencing and landmines. Last month's defection saw a soldier drive a jeep right up to the border, in a dramatic escape captured on surveillance cameras. He ran across to the South in a hail of bullets from North Korean guards. Shot five times, the soldier collapsed in a pile of leaves on the South's side, and was later rescued by South Korean soldiers.

He was released from intensive care and is reported to have written a thank you note to the doctors who treated him. Two other North Korean soldiers defected, also via the DMZ, in June this year in separate incidents. Only one soldier defected last year. The total number of North Koreans who directly defected to the South has also risen to 15 this year, compared to five last year, according to official figures reported by Yonhap news agency. Hundreds more defect through China, before making their way to the South.
In a separate announcement on Thursday, South Korea's unification ministry said two defecting North Koreans had been found on a fishing boat in the South's waters.

It’s quite shocking but these days the average American home eats a majority of its meals using prepackaged, highly processed foods that require very little skill to cook. If it doesn’t come out of a box, a can, or a plastic pouch most people are clueless when it comes to cooking. Learning how to cook from scratch is something you cannot afford to ignore if you want to survive WWIII. In order to successfully build a stockpile of emergency food, you’re going to need to learn how to cook, and you’re going to need to learn how to do it with basic ingredients. During WWII eating habits were changed greatly by wartime shortages. For many people rationing, synthetic foods, strange food combinations and the restrictions of the daily diet were among the most vivid memories of life in WWII. The rationing system was seen as complicated but fair and was popular for this reason. People registered at their local shops. Each family/household had a ration book. The ration book was handed over to the shopkeeper, who removed the coupons (as well as taking the appropriate sum of money). Food rationing was introduced in stages, beginning in January 1940. Foods that were rationed included bacon, butter, sugar, meat, tea, cooking fat, jam, cheese, eggs and milk. Rationing started on January 8th, 1940, when bacon, butter, and sugar were rationed (by weight), followed by meat in March 1940 (by price rather than weight). In July 1940, tea, cooking fat, jam, and cheese were also rationed (by weight). Eggs and milk were rationed by allocating supplies to shops in proportion to the number of customers registered there. People were permitted one egg per fortnight but this was not guaranteed, as with other foods. Rations varied considerably; the cheese ration, for example, varied from 1 oz (30g) per person per week to 8oz (225g). The meat ration worked out at approximately 1lb (500 grams) per week.

Take it slow and learn how to do a couple of things really well before moving on. If you try to do everything at once, you’ll probably end up with a bunch of food that nobody wants to eat. Take the time to learn the basics, and take the time to perfect what you’ve learned. Despite all the warnings, the only real way to get started is to just jump in there and have some fun. Such work can now proceed, said Dr. Francis S. Collins, the head of the National Institutes of Health, but only if a scientific panel decides that the benefits justify the risks.
Some scientists are eager to pursue these studies because they may show, for example, how a bird flu could mutate to more easily infect humans, or could yield clues to making a better vaccine.
Critics say these researchers risk creating a monster germ that could escape the lab and seed a pandemic. Now, a government panel will require that researchers show that their studies in this area are scientifically sound and that they will be done in a high-security lab.
The pathogen to be modified must pose a serious health threat, and the work must produce knowledge — such as a vaccine — that would benefit humans. Finally, there must be no safer way to do the research.
These projects — known as “gain of function” research — are intended to “make pathogens more deadly or more transmissible” supposedly for the purposes of study. Consider this, however: the government has been studying pathogen manipulation for bioweapons – even testing some germs on Americans – at least as far back as 60 years ago.
Some examples of new viruses could be air-transmissible Ebola, the flu virus, Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) – or any pathogen at all that can be manipulated to form a deadly human virus.
Turns Out the Moratorium on Lethal Virus Creation Was Largely Bypassed
Although the previous moratorium halted 21 projects, 10 of them were still allowed to continue.
Scientist Want Results to Be Known Only on A “Need-to-Know” Basis
“If someone finds a way to make the Ebola virus more dangerous, I don’t believe that should be available to anybody off the street who could use it for nefarious purposes,” said the director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota. Government and academic actions like the above serve to create fear and powerlessness among the masses. It also gets them used to the idea and will soften any outrage should mishaps inevitably occur. Additionally, another stated reason for this yearning to create lethal viruses is to be able to create vaccines for them. Coincidentally – scientists have already created air-transmissible vaccines for viruses. Interesting coincidence, no? Not only is it impossible to refuse a vaccine that is disseminated in the air, but an outbreak would create an ostensible and urgent warrant for them. The order comes as part of a promise made last month by Sessions to examine whether or not a special counsel was warranted in the deal which saw 20% of American Uranium sold to a Russian state-owned energy company in a 2010 transaction allowed by the Obama administration. Prior to the deal, individual connected with Uranium One deal had donated over $140 million to the Clinton Foundation. Moreover, Bill Clinton gave a $500,000 speech to a Russian bank which issued a favorable rating on Uranium One stock. Clinton and Putin met the same day of the speech at the Russian leader's private homestead. A report by the New York Times and the book Clinton Cash by investigative journalist Peter Schweizer in 2015 are said to have convinced the FBI in large part to launch their investigation into the Clinton Foundation over several claims of pay-for-play before and during Hillary Clinton's role as Secretary of State, including the Uranium One deal and several international arms sales. [size] As discovered in early November by Twitter researcher Katica while looking at FOIA-requested documents, the FBI made several Preservation and Records requests to various agencies involved in the approval of the Uranium One deal on August 28th, 2015, as published by The Conservative Treehouse. Katica found the requests buried in an FBI file released via the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Revealing Timeline While the Clinton email investigation was launched in March of 2015 after it was revealed that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton used a personal server and non-approved email accounts to conduct government business, reports from August, 2015 revealed that the FBI investigation was actually a criminal probe – though most assumed it was simply covering Clinton’s mishandling of classified information and not the content of her emails. What Katica discovered is that weeks after the criminal probe began, the FBI sent notices to every agency involved in the Uranium One approval process to preserve records. This is big: the agencies which received the request included the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the U.S. Dept. of Treasury, the Office of Director of National Intelligence (ODNI James Clapper), The National Counter Terrorism Center, and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Five days after the initial request, the same FBI agent sent another round of notifications to the same agencies, adding the National Security Agency (NSA) and the U.S. Secret Service (USSS). The next day, September 3rd, 2015, three more agencies were added to the preservation request: The CIA, the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and the Department of Defense (DOD) At this point, every single member of the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) which signed off on the Uranium One deal was served with a notice to preserve records. [size] FBI Mole An October report in The Hill revealed that as early as 2009, the FBI – led by Robert Mueller at the time, had a mole in the Russian uranium industry, and that the agency had evidence that “Russian nuclear officials had routed millions of dollars to the U.S. designed to benefit former President Bill Clinton’s charitable foundation during the time Secretary of State Hillary Clinton served on a government body that provided a favorable decision to Moscow” – a deal which would grant the Kremlin control over 20 percent of America’s uranium supply. The mole was forced to sign an iron-clad non-disclosure agreement (NDA) which threatened criminal penalties for revealing information, even to Congress. After a request was made by Reps Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and Chuck Grassley (R-IA) calling for the Justice department to invalidate the NDA, the gag order was lifted, and the FBI informant was authorized to speak with congress. Tony Podesta and Uranium One While one-time Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort turned himself in to the FBI a week ago on charges of money laundering, let’s not forget what a former Podesta Group executive interviewed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller told Tucker Carlson Tonight: the FBI probe is now focusing on people in Washington who have worked as de-facto operatives on behalf of Russian government and business. To that end, he had quite a bit to say about his former boss Tony and his relationship to the Uranium One deal. [/size]
In late 2013 or early 2014, Tony Podesta and a representative for the Clinton Foundation met to discuss how to help Uranium One – the Russian owned company that controls 20 percent of American Uranium Production – and whose board members gave over $100 million to the Clinton Foundation.
In 2013, John Podesta recommended that Tony hire David Adams, Hillary Clinton’s chief adviser at the State Department, giving them a “direct liaison” between the group’s Russian clients and Hillary Clinton’s State Department.
“Tony Podesta was basically part of the Clinton Foundation.”
[size] As far as the current state of the FBI investigation, “They are more focused on facilitators of Russian influence in this country than they are on election collusion,” Carlson’s source told Fox. While North Korea managed to once again drop off the list of immediate geopolitical concerns having kept relative quiet in recent weeks, without any notable provocations or ICBM launches, this may be changing soon, because according to the Telegraph, America is drawing up plans for a “bloody nose” military attack on North Korea to stop its nuclear weapons program. The UK newspaper's sources claim that the White House has “dramatically” stepped up preparation for a military solution in recent months amid fears diplomacy is not working. As a result, one option currently under consideration is destroying a launch site before it is used by the regime for a new missile test. Stockpiles of weapons could also be targeted. "The White House very strongly believes that either North Korea will agree to give up its nuclear weapons or we will launch a preventative attack to destroy them,” she said. "I would put the odds of them actually carrying that out at three in 10. Other policy experts say it is four in ten." Still, war is not a guaranteed outcome. On one hand, British officials are continuing to urge their US counterparts to focus on diplomatic solutions and are looking to increase pressure on North Korea.
