I stick to 'old school' or Sunday school, as far as the identity of Lucifer-satan. But you know it's always said that his biggest lie was we could be like God-a god unto ourselves. And yes, that was his method of rebellion.
But, in reading this morning it occurred to me that actually his biggest lie was that he was on the side of mankind, for man's liberation from God. He HATES-LOATHES-EATS UP-SPITS OUT-DESTROYS humans, with a hatred that we can't even fathom.

lucifer is a latin word that means "light bringer" and the english word "phorphorus" is derived from it...it was not in the hebrew text but brought to the kjv out of the vulgate because the translators could not translate the passage "heylel ben shakur"( don't check my spelling) which means "son of the morning star" which is directed at tammuz, son of semiramus or in roman culture,venus, the "morning star that brings light"....he is actually talking to satan, but lucifer is not the name for satan as so many think

The Lucifer Error
One of the many sagas of organized religion is the story of Lucifer. As the story goes, Lucifer was a high ranking archangel, the leader of the heavenly choir; that he along with Michael and Gabriel ruled the heavenly host. Then Lucifer, as the story goes, led a revolt against God taking a third of the angelic host with him. In the fable, Lucifer and his followers were cast down to Earth where Lucifer became God's arch-foe, Satan.
For the most part Isaiah 14:12-27 and Ezekiel 28:1-19 are used to support this position but as with most religious fables there are scriptural problems. For a start, Lucifer is a Latin term used only in the King James translation; it occurs only once. (Isa 14:12) This is an inadequate scriptural basis for a mainline church doctrine. Look at verse 16; Lucifer is a man, not a spirit. In verse 15 the word hell is in reality means the grave. In verse 19: a carcass (dead body); a spirit does not have a carcass. Note too, thy grave; a spirit has no grave. its obvious that isaiah is speaking to a man, but also to satan....i just can't see it being adam, or mankind in general, although both make excellent cases for that....it appears to me by the wording"heylel ben shakur" that its tammuz or horus or apollo, as all are one and the same...lucifer was just stuck into the kjv because the translators could not figure out what it meant, so they borrowed it from jeromes vulgate....fact!...interesting point is, phosphorus is found in human dna....so if lucifer is where our word phosphorus comes from, then how did they know this?....makes for serious mindbending

i look at this as types which can be repeated so while the below is not about the Garden of Eden #1, it may be from Garden of Eden #2. i think many of the old writings are from and about the bronze age and/or just before it. That would be from the time that Noah and family stepped off the ark to the time of the early Egyptians. Both of the following names have a root of “Kos”. It's possible that i may have added a name to the mix that doesn’t belong there so check it out before repeating.
