NORTHERN CALIFORNIA WEDNESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...

.A low pressure system digging into the Great Basin region will
create gusty north to east winds over portions of interior
Northern California Wednesday and Thursday. Daytime minimum
relative humidities will be very low, mainly in the teens, with
poor overnight recoveries Wednesday night. These will lead to
critical fire weather conditions for the northern Coastal Range
and foothills, the Sacramento Valley, the northern San Joaquin
Valley, and the Northern Sierra Nevada and foothills below 6000
feet.

THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON FOR GUSTY WIND AND LOW HUMIDITY FOR
FIRE WEATHER ZONES 215, 216, 217, 218, 220, 221, 263, 264, 266,
267, 268, 269, AND 279...

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zone 215, 216, 217, 218, 220,
221,263, 264, 266, 267, 268, 269, and 279. This includes the
northern Coastal Range and foothills, the Sacramento Valley, and
the Northern Sierra Nevada and foothills below 6000 feet.

* WIND...North to northeast wind 15 to 25 mph with gusts 30 to 40
mph, local gusts up to 50 mph.

* HUMIDITY...Daytime minimum humidities mainly in the teens
with poor overnight recoveries of 25 to 35 percent Wednesday
night.

* HIGHEST THREAT...The northern Coastal Range and foothills,
the Sacramento Valley, and the Northern Sierra Nevada and
foothills below 6000 feet.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

We are under fire alert here in San Diego too for later this week. Bone dry Santa Ana wind gusts up to 90 MPH in places whips clockwise out of the deserts and great basin. Happens this time every year. Spring, you are on the northern bitter end of it. Southern Calif. gets wind blasted the hardest but you have more forest to burn. We have sand, palm trees, and cactus. Make sure brush, dry grasses, etc. is cleared around your property..
